Foxboro cops: Pats' Chandler Jones sought medical help early Sunday

D&C should have a brand of salt named after them by now.

On a Sunday morning at 7am Jones could easily still have alcohol in his system which could have contributed or been the cause of a scary interaction with even the most innocuous of medications.

When you show up in the PD parking lot shirtless and barefoot in January and they're calling for a mental evaluation, it doesn't seem to be much of a stretch that he was involved with /something/.

Yes, we certainly have the same issue here in PA, which started with OxyContin (exact same ingredient=oxycodone) back in the late 90s.

Believe it or not, the Roxicodone and "pure" Percocet 20s and 30s are at least much weaker than the 40s, 80s, and even 160s that were found 15-20 yrs ago. Still a major epidemic, however, as is heroin obviously.

Its tabloid level BS haha. i can't believe how they're gossiping and speculating like little girls about something they have absolutely no information on and spinning it to be something nefarious

My favorite part... after going on and on with speculation about a cover up and this and that.. hes like

"oh yea.. ok so really quickly.. the chiefs" so they try to fit some actual playoff football talk into their 6 minute gossip session. They spent 5 minutes, 15 seconds talking about Chandler Jones and 45 seconds on the playoff game on Saturday..

All leads to heroine in most cases if not dealt with as you know I'm sure. Hopefully it was a combo of alcohol and something else.

There was a coverup. Its not the Pats doing it, but the local PD doing them a favor, which is no suprise and likely done all the time in most other NFL cities around the counry. But there isn't any question that the PD tried to hide it.

Hopefully he just got so drunk that he tried to literally eat his weed.

I disagree, there are multiple plausible scenarios for what happened.. as someone married to a mental health councilor, I have heard of all kinds of strange reactions and episodes happening due to going on/coming off/changing medications etc.

If that is the case, then its nobody's business what happened and I hope it goes away because it could be extremely embarrassing for him to potentially have something he's dealing with be out in public being scrutinized in excruciating detail

That doesn't change the chief of police flat out lying. I'm not blaming him, or saying it's the Pats doing or anything of the like, but it is what it is. Foxboro is a small town. It doesn't surprise me if the PD there has a similar relationship to the Pats and their security people that PDs often have with major college programs.

From what I understand since there was no arrest and was a medical call the information is not and should not be public. The police chief should have just said no comment.
