Who do you think will be the star player vs KC?

Patriots defensive line . Need to hold down the kc running attack

If you go by what Football Outsiders says the way to beat KC defense is for your #1 WR to kick ass. That would be JE11.

Brady! I think the Patriots will spread them out and hit them with short quick passes. It may be all about the passing game: using the RB's for pass protection and receiving; eliminating slow developing plays; OL to protecting the middle and the RB's helping on the edges.

Andy Reid, he's overdue for another one of his head scratching moments...

He is likely to have at least one play where he overthinks things to the point of stupidity. Not to the levels of the Colts' fake punt this year, but...something.

Gronk!!

I don't know if it will be against the Chiefs, but I expect White will emerge in a big way at least one game over the next three (if they happen!) like Vereen last year. He's not Lewis, but he's definitely shown something in the receiving game, and I think that just maybe they've kept the lid on that a little bit.

Also, full disclosure and a little OT, but I've been thinking about this...I think I've become a kool-aid drinker with Belichick, where before I thought he was great and a genius and all that, but I wouldn't have classified myself that way. Whereas Tom Coughlin got all muddled-headed the last couple of years (apologies for including him in this thought, just using for age purposes), Belichick just seems like he's in another stratosphere now...like all of his study, experience, brilliance and focus have come together and morphed into something else. I literally put nothing by the guy now. Pats doing weird stuff the last couple games? OK, whatever. Trust Bill. It's crazy.

I think it started at the end of the Super Bowl last year. I'm thinking/screaming, call time out! What the hell!?! Yeah, he knew what he was doing.

So, anyway, James White, to answer this question. Think they've got some stuff planned for him.

Gronk's going to hear all week about how good a TE Kelce is. Like get-under-your-skin amounts of praise for the guy.

ETA - Gronk also hasn't gotten the ball much recently, so he's vastly overdue.

I hope it's not Ryan Allen.

If Allen has to be used as much as I fear he will be, then he'll have to perform hugely, by hitting the Coffin Corners and not settling for wussy touchbacks.

I'm going to go bold and say Patrick Chung, he's going to probably be on kelce all day

This one's easy. Brady, just like always.

Hightower.

If we can stop their run we got a better shot, even if our offense gets blitzed up the wazo...

going with the easy answer - Tom Brady. He is usually pretty good.

I'm going for an unorthodox choice.

Steven Jackson has a chance to do a lot of damage not only running but also catching out of the backfield.

Sometimes the answer is obvious. With the Patriots, 8 out of 10 games the answer to this question is Brady.

Certainly no argument here. I think that's why most of just remove him from consideration due to the obvious and treat the question as "Outside of Brady, who will be the player of the game." Of course, that's NOT how it was actually worded so your answer is most likely correct (at least we all hope).

Keshawn Martin.

As long as Edelman is healthy, that means we have 3 small receivers and LaFell.

They will put much attention on Edelman and Amendola, along with watching big JoJo and, of course Gronk.

Keyshaun is the X factor in this game. Reid is a smart coach, but KM is the one guy who could fly under their radar a bit here.

What impressed me from that first game here for him against Jacksonville is how he seems so Deion Branch-like. The guy runs great routes and seems to never be out of position. Also, that 1st TD of his against J'ville was a brilliant improv play where he and brady INEXPLICABLY (due to him being so damn new at the time) had a mind-meld while Brady was scrambling. When I think of WR's who had mind-meld cionnections with Brady, I think Deion Branch. This kid has the mind part, hopefully he can continue to develop.
