"Integrity" of the NFL: Deflategate vs. Bengals/Steelers Game

Now you're just making things up. Are you claiming the dudes who squirt gatorade into players' mouths and the dudes who bring out the cleat-scraping brushes are players? Because they sure as hell are on the field during the game during team and official timeouts. And coaches come on the field all the time during team and official timeouts. And not just head coaches.
They're part of the training staff.

This is simple. Players are disposable. The Patriots are disposable. Goodell isn't.

What did Shazier do? I only saw the last 4 minutes. Also talk about the disgraceful behavior of these players all you want, but the minute I see you say "thug", I know what you really mean.
Not sure you do, the term originates from India and was never considered racially specific to blacks.

speaking of this..sal pal just said that the nfl is worried about the psi in the vikings/seattle game. that they will use the backup balls in the second half after the original footballs are under 12.5..

all about integrity with this commish! that douchebag still hasn't realized that he was wrong...

What's amazing about this is that the balls, if kept at 12.5 in freezing weather, will be impossible to play with. Am I going out on limb when I say that in zero degrees, it may actually be a good thing that the ball is at 9 PSI.

I've love for a lot of craziness to ensue here.

The minute someone uses the word, "you," I know that person means, "you people." Hypocrisy? I would say so.

I was disappointed in the Bengals. Andy Dalton couldn't grip the ball? All off season I was told to just deflate it and the grip improves. :)

....threatening to take it to the Supreme Court.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The SCOUS will laugh the NFL's case out of their courtroom. They'll lose their appeal because there isn't any malfeasance by Judge Berman.

That's what I thought was going on. How do you penalize someone for "unsportsmanlike conduct" for pushing someone who is not allowed to be where they are?

That's like me getting arrested for homicide for shooting someone trespassing on my property.

If you're in Texas you can get away with something like that. But in the Commonwealth of MA you can absolutely get arrested for shooting a trespasser.

The Bengals had every right to go Matt Chatham on Porter........

The owners placed a monkey in charge. When the dust settles, the monkey will still be in charge, and we will still be silent during round 1 of the draft.

True, but it doesn't contradict anything I said.

Troy Vincent sent a memo reminding all playoffs teams to exercise sportsmanship. Both the Steelers and Bengals willfully ignored and violated that memo.

The first round of the draft is going to go much faster this year with only 29 selections.
The Pats don't have 3 1st round picks to be forfeited

The NFL is a joke.
Tomlin said it was classic Afc north football. Good to know.....
It must be quite comforting for Tomlin to know - not guess, not feel, but KNOW - that things like memos,
code of conduct (however that may be defined by Park Avenue), and other rules of the game simply do not apply to the beloved, sainted, Rooney Rule Stillers. His team can, and usually does, get away with offenses that most other non-Manning teams only wish they could get away with.

And has been such a code since George Wallace.

Most people don't know about the Southern Strategy and just how intricate racial discrimination is within all facets of modern day society.
