if the pats dont turn the ball over KC should not be able to score more then 17 on the pats should be a win by a TD at lest

Chiefs lost Maclin, which means Kelce is now their focal point on offense. So we know Beichick will take him away.

That means this game comes down to the Line on both sides of the both.

On offense the line obviously needs to protect Brady, as KC has one of the best pass rush in the league.

One defense the line needs to shut down the KC run game, which has been the Achilles heel on D the last few weeks. Shut down the run and contain Kelce and it could get ugly for the Chiefs.

All in all, I think this will be the toughest test of the year for the Pats, but they absolutely SHOULD win.

But it's the playoffs. Any of the cute, play down to your opponent crap and it could turn ugly the other way. KC has already shown they can beat us, albeit a year ago and in their home. Fortunately for them, unfortunately for us, our OLine is in worse shape now than it was then. Let's hope this bye week does some good.

Did you watch either of the two games the Eagles played before they played the Pats? Yeah. Didn't think so. I have news for you. They sucked. Yet, they came out and spanked the Pats because the Pats players took them for granted. Much like you're taking KC for granted. KC has the 3rd best defense in the league in terms of Points allowed. That should tell you something.

KC has also won 11 straight. Including a game against Denver in which Manning was hurt..

I know the Patriots aren't going to take them for granted. You'd be a fool to.
I thinkk it was kiind of obvious that the pats have played in shall we say survival mode for a while if they play like that next saturday they wouldnt beat anybody theoretically most are back and healthy and there is no tomorrow. I think KC will be exposed. My only caviat is our O line really sucking

8 receptions for 128 yards. That's what Kelce just put up. Kelce had 8 for 93 yards against the Pats last year. You don't think that is just as effective as Gronkowski?

Jason Avant is an experienced veteran. That's all I said. But you'd be stupid to overlook him.

You can downplay the wins by the Chiefs against Division rivals, but I don't. I know that division rivals give their best against you. We only have to look at the Jets and bills games to understand that.

You clearly have no wish to be realistic. Great. Go be a homer. Take them for granted. Act like it's going to be a walk in the part. All that shows is how unrealistic you are.

Me, I'm going to be realistic. I'm going to recognize that KC has 2 damn good corners in Smith and Peters. An damn good safety in Eric Berry. Some excellent LBs in Houston, Hali, and Johnson. And their D-line isn't too shabby. I'm going to give them credit for winning 11 straight with their back-up RBs. That despite Maclin nursing injuries in 4 of the 10 regular season wins and not being a huge factor, they still won.

Lol. Well if we are using 1 game sample sizes to compare players to all-time greats, then sure. Kelce might even be BETTER than Gronk.

Jason Avant will have 0 affect on the outcome of the game. That's like me saying Nate Ebner is an effective 5th safety. If he is in a position to have to play meaningful snaps on defense, we are in trouble.

It has nothing to do with being a homer. When healthy, sans guys on IR, we are just plain a better team. Period. Without Maclin, I'm not sure KC has the offense to score two TDs, let alone keep up with TB12.

KC has a good defense for sure. But player for player, I'm not sure I'd trade ours for theirs. Butler and Ryan for Peters and Smith? Pretty even. Collins, Hightower and Mayo for Hali, Houston and Johnson? Push, if not in favor of Pats. Jones, Sheard, Brown, Nink, Hicks, Branchs for KC Dline? Push or I'll take ours.

Sorry, we should be the Chiefs. Period end of discussion.

Also, I'm not sure why you are lecturing me about overlooking a team. I don't play on the team. There is 0 chance Bill Belichick doesn't have the team ready for this game. ZERO. No chance Tom Brady lets them overlook their first playoff game of the year. That's silly.

Pats have shut Tight Ends down all season.

KCs only receiving option is a TE.

As good as KC's defense and special teams are, I cant picture KC putting up over 20pts under any circumstance. That wont beat brady.

Chiefs ranked No. 3 for fewest points allowed during regular season (17.9 avg.). QB Alex Smith sacked 45 times (29th in sacks per pass play)

Broadcast showed a stat saying in last 10 games (since suspended injured returned) they have only allowed ~12.8 pts/game. I think that was =1.

Need a good OL and healthy Edeldude.

You have a reading comprehension problem, don't you. I never said that Kelce would be BETTER than Gronk. I said Kelce CAN BE just as effective. Just as effective does not equal better in ANY universe.

Jason Avant will have 0 affect on the outcome of the game. That's like me saying Nate Ebner is an effective 5th safety. If he is in a position to have to play meaningful snaps on defense, we are in trouble.

If you don't think that Avant and his experience in the league and in play-off games will be helpful, then you're a fool. Plain and Simple. You should just leave the board and never come back.

Clearly you haven't watched a single KC game this year.

I'm "lecturing" you because you're acting like an idiot and showing ZERO reading comprehension. Do us all a favor and just stop so we're not abused by your lack anymore.

I'm not too pessimistic about this game, but the following just had to be said in response to your comment:

Iggles 14 ST points in 2 minutes say "HELLO"

Collins will shut down Kelce then what do they have

Did you people watch this game? Hoyer sucked I believe texas had 5 turn overs. Not because KC was that good but rather because hoyer was that bad. Probably the laxt game he plays in nfl.if wedont easily beat kc we soudnt advance.
I will agree with you that Hoyer sucked, he was downright brutal. Some of that was caused by KC's defense though. This is gonna be a really tough game. People are saying KC didn't beat anyone good on their 11 game win streak except Pitt without their QB and Denver with a horrible Peyton Manning. Well the Pat's lost 2 games to awful teams in Philly and Miami, who were getting KILLED in games prior to facing the Pats. So I don't see this as a guaranteed win. Tough opponent, obviously would've rather faced the Bungles.

20 points beat the Pats in 2007.. Just remember that.

I have faith in the Patriots. But acting like KC's "only receiving option" is a TE is just stupid. They passed the ball to a lot of different receivers.. Not just Maclin.

They have Kelce, Wilson, Conley, West (RB), and Avant as their top 5 receivers. That's as good as Lafell, Martin, Gronkowski, White and Harper.. A crew we lost with.. Yes, we'll have Amendola and Edelman back, which will be huge bonuses.

Showing KC respect is just what a good fan does. Pretending like they are going to be push-overs or that it's going to be an easy game shows poorly on the fans.. It shows a total lack of appreciation for the game.

Only good wins were at Denver and vs. Pitt.

The Patriots last beat a playoff team Nov 8. And that was Washington.

Their other wins this season against playoff teams were a 1-pt victory vs. the Jets in October and the opening game vs. Pittsburgh.

No it isn't. However they have a strong run game which probably evens things out.

It comes down to the offense, if theyre clicking they'll win it all. Only way to stop this team post 07 has been to hold the offense around 20 or less. Need protection and Edelman and they will be in the Super Bowl

Better stop their running game. They gashed us last time

I like our run defense with the two weeks left. Branch has been an unsung hero and Brown and Hicks are stout and we still have Silinga, if it's that type of game. Recharged batteries, means a very good run defense IMO. Don't discount recharged High, Mayo and Collins. High might be questionable, but Collins and Mayo should improve greatly with the extra week, from injury and/or rust.

If Maclin is out, then it's don't let Kelce beat you and play good and disciplined against the run.

Pats starters have done good against TEs this year.

When you lose a player who accounts for
1/3 of your receiving yards
1/4 of your catches
1/2.5 of your TDs
you have problems

If your top wideout has 450yards receiving
if your #2 wideout has under 200yards receiving
you have problems.

The Pats specialize in taking away the tight end, who now is their top receiver by a mile.
Thats a problem.

I am not sure how thats disrespectful to the game or the Chiefs, but hey, whatever works for you. I will try to be a good little fan going forward.
