Boomer Esiason: Belichick Would Be Perfect Next Coach For Giants

Lombardi wanted to coach the Giants but only Green Bay would hire him. He burnt himself out then had that short stint in Washington, he never did coach the Giants.

Before his meltdown against Carolina OBJ would've definitely been a player for the Pats. But now he seems like a headcase.

Dont see why anyone would call him a headcase. He and Norman were jabbing the entire night and OBJ lost his composure and went after him. People become more uncontrollable everyday on highways because of traffic.

Lets see if he learned and will try to have a cooler head in the future but until something similar happens again and a pattern emerges I see no reason to call him a headcase.

Belichick is a system coach. Sayonara.
Brady's also a system QB so we should trade him too. Maybe get a real QB like the forehead or his down syndrome little brother. o_O

Right on, dude! System is boring. We need chaos. Rex! Johnny! Rex! Johnny! Rex! Johnny!

New York fans have already decided that Belichick is a despicable lying cheating scumbag. Therefore I'm sure they would never want him to coach their football team
They are all hypocrites. The fans who use the term "Belicheat" would welcome him to their team with open arms.

It's a really thought provoking idea that Boomer has there. Similarly, the other day I was thinking that there's probably some teams who would like to have Tom Brady, too.

There's a common theme in the Idiot Sporting Press that of all of the head coaching jobs available, the Giants is the most desirable. You know the story - flagship franchise, stable ownership, noble tradition, great history etc.

Trouble is you've got a 35 year old turnover prone QB, an aging roster and a team that hasn't accomplished anything in several years. OBJ is an exciting player to be sure but not the cornerstone of a a championship contender.

All the pomp of the New York Football Giants is terrific, but as Tom Coughlin just found out, when the L's are stacking up faster than the W's, you are yesterday's news.

BB may have a soft spot in his heart for the Giants and well he should. That's where he won his first two rings.

But this is not an appealing situation for the incoming coach right now.

Don't forget about that craptastic defense they have too

Maybe BB could sign for the Giants one day and reuse this napkin.

Aren't the Mara's dedicated to the GM > Coach system they have in place ?

If they were not and they have not hired a coach by the time the Patriots season is over then maybe we can start to worry then.

Kraft letting draft picks be stolen from the Patriots without fighting has really handicapped the Patriots going forward.

How could anyone ever pass up an opportunity to coach in the area which is the world's largest sewer?

When did Detroit enter into the conversation?

This was not the first time OBJ pulled this stuff.

Boomer would be great serving in a soup kitchen.

If he wants to be special, he could try crusading for truth in sports reporting :D. But baby needs milk (i.e. he needs his job, though I would think he'd be well off enough to retire comfortably).

lol.

The Giants couldn't get BB to leave if they gave him 100% ownership of their team.

Lovie Smith will be a good candidate. He has Eli, he only has to fix the defense.

well hes not wrong
