This is great news...for us I mean !!

what does general luck think about this?? what does he tell abigail?
Dear Abigail
i'm afraid dear i see troubling times ahead. the president has decided to keep both secratary of war pagano and secratary of the draft grigson on. this willl not sooth the troubled waters that lie ahead. I do not believe that president irsay has the best interest of this team, our country in mind by keeping these incompetents on, he appears again to be in one of his drug addeled states of mind. i also fear the kind of replacements secratary grigson will draft, and i have NO faith in the guidance of secratary Pagano in the over-all strategic game planing for the up-coming campaign. So my dear Abby, Pray for me, pray for us. yours always Andrew.

Irsay says Grigson has outdone Polian. Citing Polian is a hall of famer.
ThisI is by far the quote of the year. I may hate Polian with a passion, but the conniving bastard was a good GM and proven over time with 2 teams. Grigson has been a joke from day one.

Pagano is a decent HC, and compared to the his peers, worthy of another contract. I'm sure the news of his resigning will be well received in the Colts locker room. HOWEVER if I were Andrew Luck, I'd be checking out my exit strategy, because Irsay/Grigson is NOT the leadership that is ever going to consistently offer you the chance to win championships. All its done recently is to insure that he will be constantly beat up and his talent wasted and that he be made to carry a team on his back.

You did see that ....play (for want of a better word) against the Pats, right?

Yeah, I posted about it in the Pagana gonna get fired club. I don't think it's fair to judge a coach by one play. The point of that play was to get us in disarray and cause us to waste a timeout. The only problem with it was that Whaley or whatever his name is shouldn't have been out there having never practiced it.

If the ball isn't hiked by that player nobody remembers that play. And Pagano isn't going to be the first or last coach who has an assistant who subs in a player who screws up due to lack of practice.

I don't think Pagano is even decent, looks like a nice guy for sure and all media personnel who have met in says the same, but as a HC he is average for me, and in these days average is almost a compliment. I hope Gen. Luck asks for his resignation from this army once his contract expires.

President Irsay,

Sir, my husband Gen Luck is despondent over the latest news from the great land of Indianapolis. As you may know from recent communications my dear husband is still not quite recovered from this most recent not-so glorious campaign. He bled for you and almost died for you. He has given his all...and had just recently come out of his cat room to discuss with hope the future.

I woke him up late this evening and he had dread in his eyes. Now sir, I am not one to speak out of line but...what have you been smoking!? When I woke him up..he knew. "Gen. Pagano and Commander Grigson are to be back?" he asked. He didn't believe me so I showed him the telegram from Gen (Ret) Polian. I must tell you, Mr. President, that my dear husband has had about enough. He is on the verge of losing faith completely in the cause and I fear is having a nervous breakdown.

He has gone back into his cat room and I fear he may never come back out. It is so bad and so frightening for me, that I have sent a message to President Belichick for his guidance. If Gen Luck needs to change sides and go to Foxboro then I am on board with it. You will have no one to blame but yourself and your crusade to "chase the dragon" as you have curiously referred to at times.

Extremely disgruntled and unhappy,

Abigaile

that was the best one yet!

poor luck will stay in the cat room for a few more months

Great news, I'm hoping the Dolphins bring Shula back, unlike Belichick the game hasn't passed him by.

Pagano: "Four more years! I can't believe my dumb luck!"

Irsay: "Yes. Alcohol abuse induces vasodilation and facial flushing."

Grigson: "F*ck you Pagano! This is MY team! MINE!"

Ok...you did see the locker room speech video then, right? :)

Yep. Polian is a complete a-hole but he deserves credit. Everywhere hes gone they've won.

Don't forget he was the 1st GM for the Carolina Panthers and got them to the NFCCG in his 2nd year.

Awesome. Four more years of ineptitude!

Did anyone else see where he said this was "the greatest day of his life"? Seriously, marriage, his kids, beating cancer? Nothing beats being resigned as Coach of a crappy team for 4 more years I guess. Lmao

Bill Polian listened to his scouts and understood value in the draft. He built the core of three teams: the 4-Super Bowl Bills (he was fired after the 3rd Super Bowl loss after he built the team that got there), the expansion Panthers that got to an NFCC, and then the Colts that were an elite team for a decade. Polian drafted Bruce Smith, Peyton Manning over Ryan Leaf, and put the nucleus together with guys like Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Jeff Saturday, Bob Sanders, Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, etc.

I still find the fact that Polian got fired by the Bills in the middle of an historic four-year run amazing. Oh no! We're losing Super Bowls! Fire the GM who's responsible for our epic failure! The Bills haven't appeared in the playoffs in 16 years - the longest drought in the NFL!

Hate him or not, its a testament to Polian for being successful and working for two small-market dumb-ass owners

Forget investigating Manning's HGH use. The League should send a swarm of investigators to the Colts' facilities to investigate Irsay's drug use.

You mean the DEA. If they locked up Irsay, the Mexican drug cartels would have to announce massive layoffs.

"PAGANO & GRIGSON THRU 2019???? F - YEAH !!!!!!!"

EDIT:

The overwhelming sentiment on the Colts boards... "I'm happy for Chuck but I am baffled to see Grigson, the main problem, stay."
