@AlbertBreer Per source, Patriots QB Tom Brady has a high ankle sprain. Not an ideal result, but Brady's played through worse in the past.

Despite the injury, which is a tough one, expectation is Tom Brady will be ready to go for the Patriots' playoff opener on Jan. 16.

Well that all but takes care of his mobility. Edelman will need to come back strong and the OL will have to improve or it's on to 2016.

One of those times was the dreaded 2007 Superbowl where he clearly wasn't himself.... I am back to panic mode.

What a disaster man

Relax. I heard from Schefter this morning that he'll be fine when he plays in two weeks. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Could he tell me the lottery numbers too?

He's limping more now than he was in 2007.

That totally sucks. Brady's increased mobility this year has been a godsend, especially as the OL has degraded. He's really kept a lot of plays alive and made some nice ones while stepping up and rolling out.

Have to think that'll be seriously curtailed now :(

My first reaction to this was to literally laugh. There's nothing else to say. This is the capper, the piece de resistance, of an otherworldly awful season for injuries. It really couldn't have ended any other way. It's a Greek tragedy in sports form.

Depends how bad it is, just 3 weeks ago McCourty had a High Ankle Sprain, was at practice a week later and played yesterday at a position far more needs of mobility.

We're so screwed.

Injuries happen...all of ours just so happened to end our season just as it was really beginning.

Schefter said it was a mild ankle sprain...dr chao as well.

Does breer have different better sources?

Everyone just calm down. You think he would go out there back if it was serious ? Just because Breer says "High ankle sprain" doesnt mean he is inside the doctor's room taking notes. This is just reporting from both sides "high ankle sprain" "but he will be fine"

Dr Chao, for as accurate as hes been all year, was basing his guess on the footage of the play. Breer is basing this off a source after an MRI scan. Big difference.
