Do You Have Faith in the Patriots?

Simple question. I've followed a lot of Patriots teams that were very good, but always felt they wouldn't make the big play when it counts, or, gawd forbid, they had a couple key injuries.

I have faith in BB and Brady and all the way down to make the absolute best out of the players they have and situations and teams they need to surmount.

Sometimes it's still not enough. Obviously only one team can win.

I wouldn't pick any other team to overcome whatever they need to, in this case, get healthy and rolling quick.

What say you?
I 100% have faith in them...they need two weeks for that o-line, but come on man, we got a good team....!

Left tackle - vollmer
Left guard - Kline
Center - Andrews
Right guard - stork
Right tackle - cannon (God help us if he is on the field)
You might as well start a mannequin from Filenes over Cannon....

I do.

The local Targets & WalMarts must be out of Men's Underwear though the way so many of the quote/unquote Fans have been ****teing their underpants.

I always keep the faith but it definitely has been stirred. Almost as unsettling as when Wes tore his acl in week 17 of the 09 season. We definitely didnt try but sheesh. Jimmy G might have won that game or maybe if we ran it even more things would have turned out better.

Im still searching for the positives being the second seed. Brady usually underthrows deep balls and maybe the Denver air will help.

The biggest problem w/ our team is Gooch. I was hesitant to give him props last year. He failed when he tried to do his own thing w/ Devey etc and only did well when he put Wendell into the lineup and basically put out Dantes' previous starters on the field. Regardless of injuries, we are witnessing the true dropoff from Scar. Edelman and Lewis masked it. Hopefully this bye works.

I would feel a lot better if the team had done something to address the Oline before the trade deadline. Volmer coming back isn't going to be enough and we still have no depth. If just one guy goes down midgame, there goes our offense. It's downright terrifying. I'm also terrified it's going to get Brady killed and cost him another shot at the championship.

recent form suggests that its a downward curve. But there isn't a fight that I don't like this teams chances in.
Having Vollmer, Edleman and a near to 100% Amendola will be huge for this o. Will also help the D.
Coach guggs has two weeks to bandage and coach up the O-line. Improved Offense keeps d off field and doesn't burn them out.
Theres life in the old dog yet.

I have as much faith as one can have on an offense that has been awful the past month.

I don't think it's as easy as turning on a light switch to get our offense going like a lot of people are suggesting. That's naive lol.

We will be playing against playoff teams and we just struggled against non-playoff teams the past month.

We can still make it to the SB, but it's gonna be a struggle.

Can edelman block? Also need edelman to be 80 percent of what he is. Lafell has done nothing for this offense.

Have you watched any games between your *****ing and whining in the live thread?

"Can Edelman block?" What an ignorant question. Might as well ask if this Brady kid is a good QB.

Even with the staggering injuries, I still trust this team a lot more than some of those healthy, "talented," teams of the past.

At least I know this team won't quit on us and won't die on its knees if it comes down to it. I see us staggering into Santa Clara with a bloody machete.

Because teams are in the business of trading away good OL players for a reasonable price?

Apart from depth signings (which they did) I am not sure how much you could have gotten at the start of November.

Sorry but I don't practice faith per se. My confidence and belief system is based on the observing something occurring in a predictable, repeatable pattern that can be measured.

Based on what I have observed over the last few months, as it pertains to the Patriots being successful in the playoffs I have faith in:

BB having the team ready for their matchup as much as possible.

TB12 will play as well as he possibly can.

Gronk will play well and make some plays.

The defense will play good enough to give the offense chances to win.

The medical staff's ability to get those players that are nicked up right now ready to play.

I DO NOT have faith in....

The O-Line's ability to consistently pass or run block.

JE11's ability to come back from 2 months off and perform like he did in September thru October.

The rest of the WR core to get open consistently.

The secondary's ability to shut down tall WRs.

Our RBs to run the football with sustained sucess.

It all comes down to this, the offensive line. I'm not sure just Vollmer coming back is enough. Edelman coming back will help but The TEs have had to be used primarily to help block.

Come playoff time, we live or die by that O line.

doesn't matter if you're at the front of the bus or the back of the bus ..... as long as you're on the bus......and we're on the bus

Right now I do not have faith as the trait quoted above seems to have left BB and his coaching staff. I'm sure I will recover some of my faith as the game gets closer, but yesterday really bummed me out on a lot of levels on this year's team.

Do I believe in who? The reigning, defending Super Bowl Champions? That team with the greatest QB and head coach ever? That team with the greatest tight end ever? Those guys? Without question. #LETSGO

Love this quote from Brady.

"That is what our whole season will come down to. Nothing over the last six weeks is going to matter. Nothing over the last 16 weeks is going to matter. What's going to matter is how well we play in two weeks."

I believe in old school football. You need to win on the line of scrimmage. They can't win on the offensive line. I honestly don't think this team can just turn it on. They IMO are probably 1 and done this year. I really don't like what I have seen from them as of late and don't believe they will just turn it on. Then again my opinion doesn't really matter down in Foxboro, so we will see.

yes. absolutely. I'm not thinking so far ahead about if we can beat the cardinals, seahawks, etc.... but i certainly believe the afc is ours to take

As critical as I am about yesterday and last week, I think with returning players I think this team can roll through the AFC if everyone is healthy.
