Why did we even play our starters the last two games?

I was yelling "no half-measures!!" throughout the game.

I'm not jumping off the Patriots but their past few weeks smacked of extreme arrogance. WTF was the point of playing anyone if the plans were to be exceptionally conservative on both sides of the ball? JAG could have handed off and Chandler could have been integrated more. Little things like that could help in the playoffs.

I understand managing the roster and it may very well work out but it goes to show me just how much better the dynasty Patriots (from top to bottom) are than the current group.

Chandler has been severly hobbled by a knee injury now for 4 weeks in a row.

Why didn't the Eagles just play scrubs against NE? They didnt have a shot to win the game.

You try to keep a game close and can always win by turnovers or blown coverages. Try to minimize your injury/turnover risks and see what happens.

This really is not a difficult concept to understand.

Miami had the 30th ranked run defense in the league. This O-line is terrible but it is indication of how beat up this team is. I hope the time off helped those specific players.
I am fearing that even with Vollmer back this OL is still going to be crap and be teh reason the Pats offense will sputter.

WTF are you on about? The Patriots sleepwalked through the past two weeks. The gameplans were horrendous. Pretty simple stuff.

The answer is simple: They played their starters in a successful attempt to send a large percentage of Patsfans into a collective meltdown!

The X factor is Edelman on the field with Amendola and Gronk. That will allow Brady to get back into the quick-pass offense in which the OL doesn't have to hold blocks as long.

Yep, lets ignore the vanilla defense that has been played on purpose, lets also ignore the fact that our offense was the mostly on autopilot and assume that the GOAT coach and one of the best OC in the league were just not capable to create a gameplan against two division opponents that we know inside-out.

WTF are you on about? You're supporting my point that this team hasn't moved out of reverse for the past few weeks.

Never jump off the ship...but man today they should have just sat everyone with that effort

Well, I mean, obviously Belichick got confused and thought it was still preseason.

My point is that gameplans are not horrendous if the team limits itself by design.

Yes, they are. Now the team is reliant on San Diego upsetting Denver for the #1 seed. You may be happy to flirt with form where I am not.

Your name is Deb, not Nancy. Or perhaps it's Deb Downer? ;)
Just today perhaps but that game really upset me. And now I have to sit here & watch Peytie Pie take the No. 1 seed that should have been ours.

Watching the game it seems like there was no sense of drive or emotion/passion from the Patriots.. Kinda like "Oh well we are losing.." I am not the only one that noticed this...

No but to me a healthy team is more important than a hypothetical game in 3 weeks. There is no team in the AFC that we can't beat if we play a above average game with our full defensive and offensive playbook, no matter where that game takes place.

When healthy, the Pats are the best team in the NFL by a long shot. The problem is, they're nowhere near being healthy and their guys on IR aren't coming back any time soon.

The Patriots are the only team going into the playoffs after a lousy losing game. To expect
them to rebound with a good performance two weeks from now is not reasonable. They will
still be playing with a below average offensive line.
