Calm tf down peeps.

The following people will more than likely be ready in 2 weeks:

Offense
  • Starting Tackle (Vollmer)
  • Starting Guard (Kline)
  • Backup Tackle (Waddle)
  • Starting WR (Edelman - Pro-Bowler, #1 Target)
  • Starting WR2 (Amendola - Closer to 100%)

Defense
  • Starting ROLB (Hightower - Borderline-Pro Bowl Player)
  • Starting RE (Jones - Pro-Bowler, Sack Leader)
  • Starting Safety (McCourty - Pro-Bowler, Closer to 100%)
  • Backup CB (Coleman)

Not to mention REST for Brady (who has been getting killed), the rest of the OL, Gronk, Amendola.

Just chill out, we are the #1 or #2 seed in the NFL playoffs (again). We will be fine.

I'm optimistic but it's all on our coach(es) to make these guys have a short memory. They need to remember that they are winners. BB is the guy to do that.

I'm OK with this team being the underdogs. We play well in that role.

If things fall the way I think they will fall the Patriots will play KC in the divisional round and Pitt at home for the championship. I'm fine with that. The alternative is going to Denver for the AFCCG and I'm fine with that as well.

We're on to the Divisional Round and a pissed off Patriots team is going to kick ass.

Only concern right now is Brady. But I guess if he's allowed to talk and walk around like the stay puff marshmallow man in front of the press its not too serious?? Hope not

I appreciate the positiveness, but my main concern is that will these guys who have missed consecutive weeks, be able to fire on all cylinders at the same time. I understand the negative Nancys concerns, but the positive Petes just assume that everything will work out fine once everyone comes back.

This is a one and done tournament, who's to say the offensive drought won't continue with less than 400 yards in the last two game. Who's to say that this line will be cohesive when some of these guys come back. This team hasn't played a GOOD game in 1 1/2 months. I can't imagine this team can just flip a switch and become the 2014 Pats. They aren't the 2-4 Pats we've seen the last 6 weeks, but somewhere in between will mean one and done, I hate to say it, but that's exactly what I see.

I don't think they all will fire on all cylinders. We have not played a good game in a long time, and its really annoying.

But, I think that MOST of them can click when it matters most. These are mostly all tested veterans, who have been there before. They know whats at stake and will step up.

Yep

This Denver team is scaring the sj.t out of me.

Who said anything about Denver. If the Pats play like they have the last 6 weeks, doesn't matter who they play, they ain't winning. I can't see this team beating KC, Denver, Pittsburgh, Cincy, whoever. Can't even beat teams that were getting crushed before we played them (Philly and Miami).

Another big plus is Brady will have two weeks to rest and recover from the cheap shot from Suh
hitting him low.

IMO, the team we have seen the last couple weeks is not the team we will see in the postseason. I anticipate very different formations, playcalls and attitudes. I almost feel like Belichick and McDaniels knew they had a bye locked up and kept a lot of stuff under wraps.

And you apparently feel they will continue to play poorly when they get their injured back for the playoffs. Go ahead and jump, that's what most of those in the game thread have already done, I think that's as idiotic and misguided as the avalanche of sh.t that was dumped on them after the KC game last year. I think they will get healthy enough to be a different team in the playoffs and could well end up playing the AFCCG at home.

The more criticism the better imo, i think they'll respond the way they always do. I'm optimistic, i think they will run the table.

They're on to the divisional round.........

dont forget about vernon's cheap shot on brady's back.

People are overlooking that this team has played 13 consecutive weeks. This rest couldn't come at a better time. Things don't look very good after going 2-4 to end the season, but the sky isn't falling.

I've never been a fan of the early bye week. This is a factor that not many here are talking about. Kudos for pointing this out.

My big criticism of this game is that they should have used Garrapolo if they were going to play that conservatively.

And that is a fair observation.

It isn't just about the injuries. Even with the losses we had today, we were still 10 point favorites and should have been an easy win against a 5-10 team. There are other issues at play here, and I hope they get corrected.

Relax? We're 2-4 in our last 6 games, this is an alarming pattern of pass protection so bad the offense can't function at all.

It's a new season. It's a short season that (ideally) consists of playing three games in the next five weeks. The goal is to take them one at a time. After what we have seen since the PHI game, they can't take any team for granted - they will all be tough. They will all be winnable.

IMO, being healthy is way more important than playing 2/3 of the games at home instead of 1/3 games. And there is a probability that they will still play 2/3 at home.

The only thing that upset me today was that they played conservatively and STILL got Brady injured.
