Realistic for Edelman to play in playoffs?

Without edelman & lewis the pats convert third down at about 30%...that's good enough to win the SB?

Conveniently ignoring all of the other injuries that led to that stat.

With Brady and Belichick the Patriots have shown the ability to beat any team. Losing Edelman would hurt but Amendola, Gronk, LaFell and Martin would still be enough to get it done.

Dunno. i'm in the No Squirrel, No Ring Likely camp.

Ill say no chance without him Edelman Gronk and Lewis are electric big tone setting players.
We can make it without 1 but as time has shown we cant make it with only 1.
Think of Gronk being hurt in the Superbowl and relying soley on Welker.
Thats why if Pitt makes the superbowl they are so dangerous they have Brown Bryant Williams Wheaton all electric spark kind of players.
Going back when Edelman turns a 2 yard pass to a 11 yard gain it fires everbody up and Brady loves him some Jules.

This thread is hilarious... it reminds me of the review for Shark Sandwich by Spinal Tap.

Did we win in 2001/2?
Apples & oranges...in 01 belichick made up for a pop gun offense w a brutally physical D that would have 10 penalties on it per game in today's NFL...

We don't have a physical D?

I do agree that, if a team gives up, it can't win. I don't think that applies to posters giving up, though.

Based on the luck of this season, I won't be surprised if JE re-injure his foot in the playoff.
Thanks for sucking the life out of the boards collective hopes and dreams.

All these posts and not one totally positive.

We are talking about Edelman here.......

He will not only play, but the kid dominates, sparks us all the way to Cali and ends up becoming our second SB WR MVP.

That's your story boys and girls.
I like your fire kid......

Good to see you are all ready to quit, no surprise there.

Yes. Used sparingly to get him back into game action. Maybe 20 snaps? But it would have to be in the first half because he will apparently be dead by half time according to our psychic friends in this thread.

I would Depend upon how his healing is coming along, and who else is available.

Agree mostly, but I play him regardless, sparingly (ie: 3rd down/redzone), let him get up to speed a little, but if Amendola is healthier, ride him and Martin, with a little good fortune on our side this team SHOULD have a second bye week at the end of January as well, we ARE the best team in the AFC IF we can maintain the health of what's left of the roster, the team is in for the fight of their lives if they cannot maintain that health.
