assuming Josh gets a new gig, i wouldn't mind seeing kelly running our offense for a year.
So he can trade the WRs for RBs?

Does he have practice squad eligibility :p

Kind of makes sense:

BB has great respect for Kelly and they are friends.

Imagine if BB brings Kelly in as a consultant for the playoffs, kind of like he did with McDaniels when O'Brien was on the way out.

Now I don't expect that, and I don't think the Pats need him, but I would LOVE to see the haters heads explode if he did.

There would probably accusations of the Pats cheating again and calls for Goodell to do something.

:p

i wasn't aware that the offensive coordinator was also the gm.
If you look at JMD's influence on this roster, he has a lot of say on the personnel taking the field on Sundays

60 million on Byron Maxwell and 12 million a year on Murray/Mathews are fireable offenses. Agholor may be the worst 1st round rookie this year.

He did a trash job as a GM. No sympathy from me.

EDIT: How could I forget trading for Sam Bradford.

Losing the division to a 9-7 winner spending what they did? Unfair? Maybe. Accountable....certainly.

Idiotic.

He took a ****ty team (4-12) and got it to 10 wins, two seasons in a row. Then, he finally gets personnel control, has less than a full transition year (Might still have gotten to 7 wins in that transition year), and gets the axe?

Meanwhile, the walrus has the Chiefs in position to possibly win the west, and will definitely get into the playoffs for the second time in 3 seasons, and he's the guy Lurie canned to get Kelly.

Lurie should have fired himself for being a moron.

Brady seems more mobile then ever, but while I like the idea, I'm not sure there's a symbiotic relationship there. Though it's be a great time for Chip to learn from BB and the lesson of (pay to your player's strengths).

I think Chip is a good coach. Maybe too inflexible to succeed long-term in his first go around, but that can be cured with experience. Bottom line is that he's an intelligent and visionary coach, and that's both rare and valuable.

I think Chip did a terrible job as GM, but I also think it was too soon to fire him in that capacity. Yeah, we can pretty reasonably say that the DeMarco Murray and Byron Maxwell signings were mistakes. But Maxwell's contract won't look so bad in a couple years, Jordan Matthews looks pretty good, and it's too early to jump ship on Agholor. Chip deserved one more year to right the ship.

There's no real defense for the Murray signing, but I'd still like to see Kelly work with a competently quarterbacked team.

Dolphins is my guess. Everybody is interim down there so Chip Kelly could go in and start reconstruction without any immediate expectations. It would be interesting to see him match wits with Belichick twice a year. Kelly, Belichick, Bowles and Rexy would be an entertaining foursome, although I doubt Rex makes it to January 5th as HC of the BB.

Josh in Philadelphia would be good. Out of the AFC and not on the Patriots' schedule for four years. Hate to see him go, but he's capable of leading a franchise with an owner like Jeffrey Lurie to support him. He needs to be paired with a solid GM.

I will believe it till eternity that Chip is a GOOD coach.

The problem is that he spend soooo much money on players that did not produce to their salary.

Thats what sucks here.

Yeah, pretty much. As GM, he signed big-money players that didn't fit in his system... then didn't adjust his system. It sure looks like he wasn't prepared to take on GM responsibility, and was overwhelmed by it. Not shocking, all things considered, and doesn't change the fact that the guy knows how to coach.

Next time that hires him should make sure to pair him with a capable GM

Titans coach or oc here with assistant coach title.
Calling it
Josh Mcdaniels to Philly or Giants
Mike Shula gets which ever job Josh doesnt.
Dark horse would be Chip Kelly going to San Diego.
Titans make way too much sense.

Lurie is a problem. He lucked into Andy Reid and OK they never won and Reid had some issues but Lurie most likely canned him over bad free agent signings. Three years later and history repeats itself. Coincidence, I think not.
