The video also makes it clear these guys put lots of thought into covering their tracks so nothing can really be proven or traced back to them.

The NFL can punish Manning simply for "bringing the game into disrepute "

Manning's Dr sending HGH to his wife at their shared home is sufficient for Goodell to level punishment without any proof that Peyton took the HGH. Any reasonable person would see this act as bringing the game into disrepute which hurts the integrity of the league.

Ashley Manning can prove she wasn't prescribed HGH by the clinic if she wants to.

She can prove she has a condition requiring HGH if she wants to.

Instead they are saying you can't prove it.

Could the Guyer Institute legally prescribe HGH for a patient even if Ashley had a condition that required HGH? It doesn't appear that the Guyer clinic treats any of the conditions which require HGH treatment.

I think this is why we will see this business close its doors very soon. being caught in a bold face lie by Al Jazeera today may be the final nail in its coffin. I imagine the state licensing and medical authorities will take an interest and them shipping a controlled substance over state lines may interest the feds.

Other NFL players have been suspended for PED and they don't get tarred as 'cheaters' by the fans and media.. Their rep does not get ruined. Brady only ran into trouble because the NFL had it out for him. They essentially ran a political smear campaign at Brady. Don't count on Peyton to suffer the same fate..

I know they are gifted but LOTS of NFL guys are ridiculously jacked. I am sure PED use is quite high in the NFL.

antonio gates is the perfect example. cheated, nobody cares.

gronk takes roids, he gets destroyed by espn

Everybody is scared to research the story. It is amazing. If this guy really worked there in 2011, then his time actually coincided with when Manning was most desperate after his fusion ops and could not see his hand in space. This is easy google work for the likes of Volin.

Go figure, ESPN uses a Brady quote, with side by side pictures of Brady and PEDton, to defend manning.

On the other hand, Peyton clearly mentions defamation in his on camera piece. I'm not sure when or how the Brady audio statement on the subject came to be. For those that missed it I'll loosely translate "hate to see a good competitor go through that, HE'S A GOOD FRIEND, and I blah blah all he's accomplished blah blah."

Wouldn't we all love it if Brady ran with the defamation angle...

Honestly, these guys should be able to use hgh for recovery. Again, for RECOVERY. Football is a grown man's Gane, played by massive grown men. The game should allow ANY medical RECOVERY path to be available to all players.

For those arguing drug cost, etc, teams should bear these costs, for drugs that are easily manufactured, and regulations should be in place to lower costs for the average person. Anyone arguing Healthcare costs for a manufactured drug is advocating abusing price gouging. When a screw costs thousands....let alone tens of thousands (some of those parts do...wife is an or nurse)...the legal avsilibilty to pro athletes would drive cheaper production. And I am not saying hgh prices for those that need it are reasonable now...

So, before I get this tossed to the politics forum...

...I'm only kind of sorry for the PEDton thing...

HGH hasn't been studied for off-label use. So if you endorse it players become unwitting guinea pigs pressured to take things they perhaps should not be. This could cost the NFL big time down the road. Much safer to only use drugs for the on label uses..

Simple question: can anyone recall any athlete being linked to PEDs and it turning out to be false? I cannot. McGuire, Palmiero, Sosa, the Balco list, Armstrong, etc. All guilty. I believe 100% Manning took it. All the others as well. Not expecting the NFL to go after their pampered darling but I will always call him a cheater from here on.
i dont know if this is what you are thinking of but people accused Robinson Cano and Albert Pujols of taking PED's but they also had no evidence to back it up

Manning wants to be the only person to come out clean after being engulfed in PED scandal. So far, every name put out there has come out with dirt. I really believed Lance Armstrong, my argument was the evidence of his wins in defamation suits.

In this social media conscious world there will be cadres of reporters overturning every pebble to find the truth.. if you dig hard enough, they will find something... success is measured by the number of twitter followees...

Peyton* will be alleged to have done this or something similar in the end, however it will be qualified or explained and in the end we will all be left with the image of "poor Peyton*"....

Clemens beat it in court, not that it mattered to the BBWA.

Must watch this too: 1-on-1 with Deborah Davies | 120Sports.com

Interview with Al Jazeera's investigative reporter, Deborah Davis

After watching that I now wonder if the NFL could sweep this under the rug.

Apparently it cannot be used as a fertility drug which is interesting because the MMQB Peter King article hints that it could be.

Although HGH (human growth hormone) is most commonly linked to illicit use in athletes to speed healing and create more efficient and powerful workouts, it has uses outside of athletics. A 2014 Redbookmagazine story called its use a possible “secret fertility weapon.”

It was also noted in the previously posted link to the mile high report that it had been used as a fertility drug.

If in fact it is illegal to prescribe HGH for fertility purposes this investigation might explode on that issue alone.

In Defense of Human Growth Hormone

Our new doctor was more optimistic about our situation. He recommended that I follow a typical in vitro fertilization (IVF) protocol, with a couple of small deviations. Specifically, he suggested that I take testosterone and human growth hormone (HGH), additions that, while not approved by the Food and Drug Administration, are fairly common in the treatment of infertility.

It looks like the initial defense for Peyton is that 1. He never used it. 2. My wife's medical issues are her own personal matter. The circle the wagon crew seem to be attempting to support that with "She may have used them for fertility purposes" which apparently is illegal.

On top of that Bob Kravitz wrote in a Manning defense article that he had received HGH from the same clinic.

Looking for possible conditions that Guyer would possibly be able to legally prescribe HGH and found that they treat CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). Which, according to the usdoctor link below, can be also be treated with Testosterone, Estrogen, DHEA (for energy boosting)..etc... which sounds like a potential gold mine of a condition for a doping athlete.

Chronic Fatigue (I don't know if this is a reputable resource)

Human Growth Hormone. No substance has a more pronounced improvement on Chronic Fatigue or Fibromyalgia than hGH, human growth hormone. Human Growth Hormone. No substance has a more pronounced improvement on Chronic Fatigue or Fibromyalgia than hGH, human growth hormone.

I think we will hear more about CFS in the near future. It seems like a better defense than fertility.

The organizations that these athletes perform for and prop up are all too willing to turn a blind eye. Or in Lances case actually help support his defense. I honestly don't blame the athletes. It's the corrupt organizations that profit off of the puppy mill of sport. Really, we think these NFL players are clean.
Certainly not, the whole sport is polluted. But the viewing public just doesn't really care about it. I mean it is right there on the screen in front of them and they just ignore it. Big business and big money.

surely they have some receipts or something.

The NYFL is now looking into this Peyton Manning scandal, according to PFT, and we all know what that means.....

Yep, the Patriots will soon be losing another 1st round draft pick.
That's funny and I get it, but I also hope that Brady has sent every bespoke potion that Alex Guerrero has ever given him to a well-respected, independent lab for testing.

Guerrero might be an unfairly maligned guy who is as pure as the driven snow, but he has a history with the FTC and his remedies have been called quackery by places like Sloan Kettering. It wouldn't be the first time that a bright, talented and trusting athlete has been taken in by a con man who has gained his confidence.
