New England Chicken Littles

The thing is, we haven't even seen what this team is capable of for a number of weeks and we won't until the Divisional Round. That's when the players that are supposed to come back, WILL be back (hopefully).

We've been playing at 3/4 for a while now.

The problem is you ARE discussing this with a 12 year old with no insight into football. So consider the source.

ok so anybody who disagrees with you is a 12 year old? Let's forget the fact that there's a bunch of guys who've been in the pros a long time that are scratching their heads right now. But you guys know all.

This is a complete waste of time. You guys have your biased opinion and I have mine. I've got a plate of food, a good game on and i'm on vacation. You guys can f'k off for all I care.:p

I don't care to go in depth. 2 minutes with 2 timeouts is plenty of time to put a drive together without rushing it. There's no difference between passing and putting together some plays for at least 3 points as there was on the pats opening drive of the game. If you were playing afraid there than you should be afraid at any other point of the game when your team had the ball.

So that's your idea of being constructive ?

"I don't care to give an answer, but they should still do it somehow".

Great.

He has his wings, feathers, and stupid little beak. He's as peachy as a pig in ****.

I agree regarding the end of the 1st half, they had the ball with 1:53 remaining and started the drive with a 13yd run from Bolden to put it on the 29. To not attempt to get into field goal range from there and with a decent amount of time left is playing scared - I realise the situation on the O-line is bleak but surely you have to trust your guys in there and give it a shot.

The OT coin toss call was frustrating but I can understand the reasoning much more. The D was playing well in the 4th only allowing 3 points, and atleast even if they allowed 3 points the offense would've had a shot. Allowing the Jets to march straight down the field and score a touchdown was extremely disheartening and poor execution, I was expecting more from the D. Hopefully they can learn from it, I would be surprised if they don't need to come up big at some point again...

Clearly a poorly coached game on the Pats side. Play calling was a disaster.

weather seemed perfect, really not sure why you would defer.

Aside from a really bad brady pass, the patriots had been marching it up and down the field in the 2nd half.
The Pats scored 10 points in the second half, and had less than 300 total yards for the game. They weren't marching up and down anywhere.

An incredibly loose definition of "the most embarrassing way imaginable", probably.
I fully agree. I logged on to the game thread during the game. I am at a loss for words at the child like banter back and forth. "Our D sucks can't stop nothing". "Our Offense is going to be doomed in the playoffs" etc

Are most of the members of this site young snot nosed little kids. It sure sounds that way. We cannot win every series of downs or games. I thought we did not have a chance this game with our injury situation. I stayed positive throughout the game because I was happy to see a solid effort by the Pats. This site is getting disgrace full with the arguing back and forth and what "Chicken Little really means. The sky is always falling.

Grow up. Love what we have here. I sure as hell do

because they can run the ball and they can get to brady. they have a team to compete with us regardless of our health situation. we just aren't good enough right now to be ****y.
I think if we get them in Foxborough and really want to to put it to them, we'll kill them. I mean obliterate, annihilate, destroy.

I agree, and would love to see a better game thread. It's really sad when someone starts a thread using the phrase chicken little and uses it incorrectly.

The BB lovers on this forum should admit that he has made some unbelievably bad decisions
this year. A rugby dropkick and an onside kick while leading 14-0 and resulting in touchdowns
for the opposition. Kicking off in OT was the latest outrageous decision. The Jets players were
laughing their asses off in the locker room. Truth is we would be laughing too if an opposing coach
did this.

Well if the Jets players were laughing it's time to pick up our toys and go home. Lol

Pats need to go 4-0 to repeat. Three of those games are at Foxboro. I like our chances. The Jets are irrelevant.

That's what I call Bustin A Move posting style. Yeh sah.

I left the game thread early on. I glanced at halftime and decided to stay out of it.

if we have healthy oline then i can see that happening. but with this sh!tty oline, we ain't killing nobody even with edelman.

i expect every playoff games to be a battle.

What a load of chicken little ****.

Ya because if Edelman, Amendola, McCourty, Chung, Kline , Vollmer and Steven Jackson was full go the game would have turned out the same way.

Pats would have put up at least 24 and jests would have been held to 17.

Take the jests starting LT, G, #1 & #2 WR, and both starting Safeties out of the game and see how they do.

Except you are the one who cant explain his pov/criticism in a mature matter.

So tell us, how should they have handled the end of the first half in terms of plays. And remember you have an OL that at that point can barely give Brady 2 seconds to pass and you have a Jets D that crowds everything intermediate and doubles Gronk.

And please dont give me any of the "they have Brady" crap because thats what a 12 year old with no insight into football would say. Start actually being a constructive force in this conversation instead of a troll.

Huh. Funny thing is, post Branch, pre Moss and Welker and then pre Gronk and Edelman, lots were saying look how good he makes those receivers that are nobodies. So the "They have Brady crowd" was applauded in years they don't have high end receiving talent.
