My friend who was at the game said there was no wind. So it didn't matter anyways I guess...

Just win next week in Miami and this loss means zero.

Honestly, if you'd rather face the Steelers in the playoffs than the Jets, I don't know what more to tell you.

Give me Amendola and Edelman back on offense and Chung and McCourtry back on defense and this game is much more slanted in our favor.

The Jets in Foxboro with our key players back is much, much better than facing Pittsburgh.
I'm confused though....if Cincinnati wins does that put them back in #1 seed spot?

As a Pats fan, I RELISH the chance to see the Jets again...on our home field with all our weapons. Jump ship or STFU.

=====================================

Can't wait!

I really wish the Pats had tried to score at the end of the first half. I've always defended the play calling here but that was straight up baffling. Either way, I'm not worried about the Jets in the playoffs. They just struggled to beat the Pats B-Squad at home.

Have you seen the games when they are healthy? Not exactly blowouts. This offensive line's a mess now. I want no part of the jets in the playoffs because they can play defense and a division rival.

NE clinched the bye last week.

If NE loses against MIA, NE still gets the #1 seed if the winner of DEN-CIN loses next week.

thanks..

****, should of given the GOAT a chance to win it!!!!

bill's arrogance strikes again and costs us another game.

Pretty bad game by the Pats. Even with the injuries the oline was squash. A team that can't pressure on the Qb all season got pressure on the Qb all day.

The Jets are amongst the league leaders in QB pressures and hits.. Just not sacks.. this was mentioned during the game..

Bad teams let bad teams stick around and that's exactly what the Jets did with a bad injury filled Patriot team today. Like it or not they outplayed our team in NY at home minus Edelman,Amendola, Chung and McCourty.

I don't consider the Jets starting offense and defense beating up on the Pats 4th/5th string OTs, 3 rookie O-line and a Rookie Safety to be "outplaying" the Patriots..

Looking back at this game, I'm starting to think that the team really didn't give a s***. Even BB looked like he didn't really care that much. They mostly played carefully to prevent injury (though we somehow lost two left tackles regardless), and made it to overtime anyway.

It's probably smart, when you consider the fact that the Jets were playing for their postseason lives and the Pats had their top 2 WR's AND top 2 safeties out. Why play all-out to beat this team when you're badly injured when you can just focus on beating crappy Miami next week with your guys back healthy, and the result is the same either way?

dont even give tb12 a chance in OT. good one bill

absolutely have to win against miami!!!!!!!!!!

This isn't the first time Belichick has deferred in ot. It usually works out if the defense steps up. Thought the defense had a good game despite being down their starting safeties.

Looking forward to Miami next week. Hopefully Gueg gets some cohesion going for the oline cuz they were god awful today. Also hope Volmer is ok, that would be devastating loss.

The hell were you watching? This team was beating the opposition with authority when they were healthy. I do agree about the OL though. They've been exposed since Edelman went down.

For the moment, yes.

NE gets the #1 seed if either of these things happen:
1) NE win over MIA.
2) Winner of DEN-CIN loses next week.

Not sure why anyone is surprised by the outcome with key players out (McCourty, Chung, Dola, JE) and players like Hightower clearly not healthy. Pats beat Miami next week (98% sure) for HFA. Tough to see Vollmer go down. Martin is great.

Jets still need to beat Rex next week in Buffalo to make playoffs but I honestly don't care. Jets will not beat NE in Foxboro.

didnt tannehill cant injured? not that it matters, since he stinks.

should of won today, and rested everyone. now someone will get injured again with our bad luck

I wonder if Edelman plays next week.

Steelers out right?

Grrrrr..

Jeff Howe‏@jeffphowe
Ninkovich hobbling in the locker room. Just grabbed a bag of ice from the training room.

We beat Miami next week we're the number 1 seed and have a week off to get players healed. Hopefully Vollmer isn't gone for too long and we can get some of our important players back!!! We're still in a very good position in the AFC

Playoffs are a big step up from regular season home field Super Bowl wins...the Jets have Kirkpatrick at QB...c'mon, they're underdogs in any wild card game.Did you crybabies FORGET what the Jets looked like in Dallas against Joe Blow and The Nobodyboys?

Are u kidding me dude? Tell me the last time that they beat the jests without any problems. Jests have played us tough even when healthy. Our offensive line's in shambles as well. I rather see the steelers

Slater was confused because he thought he chose the direction, yet Blakeman asked the Jets to choose which end to defend..

Slater needs to learn the rule, then. You can't both say you're going to kick off and pick the direction.

Cincy would still be the #2 seed going into Week 17 even if they beat Denver tomorrow.
