RB Joey Iosefa Promoted from PS

So, if Iosefa is slow and a guy who cant really run any route but a screen or delay to the flat, i guess White remains the 3d down back. 0 snaps there.

What are you guys thinking: Is he just an emergency rb, or does he actually spell Bolden sometime -actually get any snaps (on 1st, 2d)?

He's a WingBack ~ "FullBack" to you Earthlings. ;)

He's not a "Running Back", whatever that is.

I, for one, like this Move, even though it's as likely as not to have little appreciable Impact: Chances are better'n average that this is just a Bottom of the Roster and Special Teams Move.

Even so: The Possibility that he'll be in there for a few Snaps, where he can offer that beautiful Hybrid Threat, pounding the Rock for Hard Yards, slipping out into The Flat for a Chain Moving Reception, or blasting a MidFielder ~ that's "LineBacker" to you Earthlings ~ out'f'is socks and tearing open an Hole for Bolden or White is a very appealing one: Those are the Grunt Plays that "quietly" make all the Difference.

Call me a Pie in the Sky Dreamer, but I'm quietly hoping he can give us back some of what we lost with Devlin going Out.

Note: Use of Capitalization is an Ode, not Snark.

And I am deeply honored, Brother Zone!! :D

I am thinking he might, if active, be more of a ST guy who is available if Bolden or White get hurt.. with Bolden/White being your only two RB's who know the system, Bolden might not be playing special teams.

Pats are going need somebody who can move the ball on the ground beginning next week vs NJ.
Could use someone today. It's cold outside.

If he were a replacement for Develin, he would have been activated by now. He is a bottom of the barrel, emergency backup to our other two running backs.

And that's fine. We need to have a 3rd RB active.

The guy had never played fullback prior to getting to the Pats.. So he's been learning the position. Saying he would have been activated by know is just silly..

The pats run game was hurt by the loss of Develin in the pre-season. If this can be a good blocking back, put him in.

Called that one ~ wrong!!

Plucks a guy straight out'f the Ether ~ a WingBack, no less ~ and gives'm the Ball 14 Times!!

My God, I love rooting for this Team.

Check out how they just throws a would be tackler aside at the 2:54 mark...Watch him go for 8/54 and TD tomorrow...Hopefully most of that comes in garbage time in a blowout.....
I was close. He had 11 carries for 51 yards but no TD........................

great to see 47 out there again
it was dearly missed

and not a bad new model either

color me impressed (again)

Him and bolden did alright today. Still hope Jackson or ball will get a solid look for the tougher games.
Agree, Joey Fullback was great for a fullback but against a bad defense. I want him to stick around but we need better at RB.

Sure looked like a quality addition to the backfield to me. So much for the Combine numbers. The guy can play.

You are doing an apples-oranges comparison. White is the third down back. Develin is the "FB" that Iosefa has taken the place of due to injury.
Pretty simple what we need of Iosefa (not counting STs): On occasion pulverize the tackler filling the hole, occasionally take some handoffs on short yardage plays/always have positive gains, punish defenders whenever possible, catch a few short simple passes for positive yards (and, again, punish the tackler if possible). Overall we need Iosefa in position to have his head down moving forward and at defenders.

While his level of 'dynamic' for the "FB" position isn't determined/???, what he did show today fits, so far, those needs I just listed. And what those needs are don't overlap White's needs to any significant degree.

lol you aren't going to find better than a 4 YPC guy on the streets now.

If there were guys like that available, they would be scooped up immediately.

Also calling him a FB is assinine. No team gives their FB 14 carries, regardless of who they are playing. No need to be purposefully obtuse.
