Shocker - Manning selfishness likely hurt Broncos

No one will notice the hidden injury, as this is not an "integrity issue", business as usual for most... not sure of the current definition but last I heard:

Integrity
/inˈteɡrədē/ noun
1. a term used in the NFL to define any questionable action sensationalized by ESPN about the New England Patriots while ignoring similar more egregious actions by lesser teams..

But it brings up the question of why do we have an injury report at all? If I were an NFL coach, I would want to hide all injuries. Why have to say if Gronk will play or not? Let the other team prepare for it or decide how to handle it.

It really only benefits the bettors, which is illegal according to the NFL. But again...

Integrity!

Let's get real folks, Brady would have done the same thing.
I'm pretty sure Brady would never hide an injury from BB, because it's pretty likely BB would sniff it out quick and he would be pissed. Brady would probably say "I have this injury, I can play through it", and Bill would evaluate over time whether it was best for the team to keep Brady in or let him heal and play Jimmy G.

So no, I don't think Brady would have done the same thing, because Brady actually respects his coach and teammates.

I agree completely.

I think the criteria that BB has for TB12 to play is pretty simple.

1. Can he breathe and does have have a pulse.
2. Does he know his name, home address and Gisele's bra size
3. Can he make most of the throws and move around a little.
4. If he re-injuries himself, whats the risk of long-term damage.

That'll do.

He's either hurt or too old now. That much is obvious. Probably a little of both.

So it makes him a liar either way - he either lied that he wasn't hurt and screwed the team, or he's lying that he was hurt, which just makes him an a**hole.
But did he hide it from the team? I didn't see anything in the story that said he did.

Manning's foot has been an issue since the beginning of the season? I don't believe he was listed on any of the injury report until his last or next to last start this year. The league needs to launch a $10 million, independent-in-name-only investigation to confirm their belief that the Broncos weren't 100% honest with their weekly injury reports.
I initially had a good snicker when I read this, but comparison is pretty sound. If the reason for launching the major investigation was the possibility that there was a scheme to purposely break a minor rule then this meets those requirements.

For the record I think papa Manning is lying to cover for baby Manning's decline. However I don't think that should stop the league from stripping the Broncos of multiple high round draft picks, use weirdly specific language to prevent them from making trades to mitigate the damage of the lost picks, fining them, suspending Manning, and trolling Manning on twitter.

It's all BS, I'm calling BS here. Archie tried to come out and say "oh, oh, actually Peyton has been hurt all year, not just recently, so yeah that's why he's been total dog sh** all season is because his foot hurts, it's been hurting since like forever!"

What it creates is a catch 22 for him - either he's a selfish prick who hid injury and it screwed his team big time, or he's a lying sack of crap who is trying to cover up the fact that he sucks now.

But seriously, how could he have been hurt for six months? You're telling me he's had a foot problem since June? And neither Kubiak nor Elway ever noticed? I don't buy it.

Does anybody have Commissioner Goodell's e-mail address?

I need to send him this picture of the Broncos trainer working on Peyton Manning's foot as scientific proof that the Broncos are damaging the "integrity of the game."

Well, they are 10 and 3 so his foot hasn't been that much of a problem...till now.

Players and their quotable daddies. Muzzle the dads....nothing good comes from a dad in front of a microphone. Let's add wives to the list as well.

Wives are awful. Brenda Warner would always call in to AZ and StL sports radio shows and rip hosts for picking on her little boy Kurt.

.....and there is Gisele who has a death squad on the ready that she shares with El Chapo for anyone who picks on TB12

I would add sports columnists to that list, too.

Of course, he wanted the record
he wanted the record and he also does not want to retire because he know Brady and Brees still have a few years left to possibly catch some of those records he is breaking this year.

Of course, he wanted the record
Karma kicked in big time. Even the nfl.com write up records how lousy a player he's become:
No quarterback in NFL history has thrown for more yards than Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. Unfortunately, Manning broke the record on one of his worst days as a professional.
And:
Manning, who was on the injury report with a foot issue, was benched midway through the third quarter after throwing four interceptions. He finished 5-of-20 passing for only 35 yards.
So go ahead, Payton, bask in the glory of your immortal four yard completion to Ronnie Hillman while you give your royal wave to the grinning idiot Bronco fans. History will always show how you held on too long just to get a bunch of meaningless records.

What kind of a person does that?
Pretty easy to see where Payton gets his personality from.
