Just curious what the consensus is about his rookie year. On paper, he's looking very good, with a passer rating over 90 as a rookie despite a shaky surrounding cast. I've seen him play a handful of times, albeit in passing on Red Zone, and I've been very impressed.

He's been at his best against poor defenses and when he's allowed to get to the outside and make some plays with his feet. The Pats will employ the same game plan they've used in the past against Tebow and Tyrod Taylor. Keep him in the pocket and take away his first read. Make him go through his progression and find the open man if they don't get to him first.

I think we'll either shut him down or he'll have a 2012 Russell Wilson Broken Play Bonanza.

Luckily for us, Tavon Wilson shouldn't see the field much. :)

If Wilson and Ebner end up being our deep safeties in the game you may have a point otherwise nope!

I was a bigger fan of Mariota than Winston before the draft. He's impressed me considering his lack of talent around him. Mediocre OL, no RB, WR is below average, and Delanie Walker is a good TE.

Mariota's starting WRs sunday will be Douglas and Green-Beckham (a JAG and a rookie project). If he had a supporting cast I'd be a tad worried but he's probably screwed Sunday.

I will bet mcdaniels has watched him a lot this year, seeing if he's worth changing teams for.

He's been good. I think he can be a good NFL QB. Maybe even top-tier. Reportedly a hard worker. Was not an accurate passer in college, but has already cleaned that up while going up a level. The entire state of Hawaii is pulling for this kid. Since I love that state so much, I want to see him succeed (but not Sunday).

Was not an accurate passer in college
68.5%
63.5%
68.3%

I didn't watch him much at Oregon, but those numbers say he was pretty accurate. He's at 62.4% this year.

Seems decent but Kendall Wright would probably be a 1300+ yard receiver if Brady was throwing to him.

I am big fan of Marcus b/c of Oregon have watched pretty much every Titans game this year. Marcus has been pretty good for a rook. The Titans are really bad. I have never really watch another team besides the Pats as close as I have watched the Titans this year, it is hard to watch.

Delaine walker is awesome tho.

Kendell Wright can't run good routes. Brady would tear his head off.

Nah, the Titans are really bad. All they have really on O is Walker. DGB is getting better, but at least twice a game Marcus has to tell him where to line up, and DGB will round off his routes. Harry Dougless is pretty useless. They have no run game, and their Oline is not good.

I have not seen him a ton but he seems pretty good.

I am not expecting anything amazing from him Sunday but i think he has a future as a long term starter in the NFL.

The media is pretty high on Mariota from what little I have paid attention. Solid rookie season.

From watching him play, he's a very smart QB and ha a very bright future ahead of him. Very impressed with his play as a rookie. He will be a difference maker by the end of year 2 or early year 3
