Steelers winning pretty much guarantees a #1 seed for the pats because they can still drop one game and maintain it...so i am rooting for them.

And considering how the denver offense has looked lately, the steelers have a good chance of winning imo

Here we go Steelers, here we go!!!!

Ouch it hurt to say that...

I'd rather the Steelers lose (= likely miss playoffs) and the Pats get the #1 seed by winning out

Idk. No guarantee they can win out. The donkeys got much easier stretch after pittsburgh. That jests game will be very tough.

We wrap up the East tonight if the Giants beat the Dolphins. Pretty much a toss-up game.

I will not root for the Giants to win another game this season. The Pats will take care of the division on their own with a win over Tennessee next week. I want no part of the Giants making the playoffs...none....zip....****in zilch!!!

I have seen both the original and the sequel....no interest in seeing the trilogy!

If the Patsies had taken care of business in Denver, I would absolutely be rooting for the Donkeys to
defeat PitsDirt if a Neutron Bomb was not an option. I absolutely despise Stealers fanzombies, the Rapist(allegedly), Tomlin and the Rooneys.

What sucks is if steelers come in as 6 seed pats might have to play best playoff team in their first game. I'm rooting for Denver. I'd rather Pitt miss the playoffs.

Really sucks that #4 seed afc champ will be worst team if they win and Pitt as 6 seed win. Would be only consolation being the 2 seed as I think 6 Pitt wins at Denver or Cincy so we could host Texans/colts/jags round 2 and Pitt in afccg

We really need the Steelers to win. Some of you are not thinking this though. This could come down to week 17 for seeding. What we dont want is the Pats to have to go all in to beat the Dolphins in Miami. It will be the Dolphins SB playing us and hurting out seeding.

Plus if you did not look, we play week 17 BEFORE the Broncos do. So if the Pats are in a situation where the Broncos could overtake them, they will have to play the Dolphins hard not knowing the results of the Broncos game at 430.

It would be better if the Broncos just lose and are too far behind the Pats. The Pats are really banged up and need as much rest as possible.

The way i see it the Steelers are not going to be left out of the playoffs unless they lose and the Jets beat us.

If they are as good as we think they are and can win their way in they probably will. May as well root for the Pats to be able to use week 17 as they see fit.

I'm with @TBR

I would rather that one of the two hot teams (Steelers, Chiefs) miss the playoffs entirely; my preference would be that Pittsburgh is the team on the outside looking in.

I realize that would mean that the Jets make the playoffs, but they are so much less of a potential roadblock to the ultimate goal, that is okay. (Excuse me, I just threw up in my mouth a little.)

Perhaps I am being over-confident, but I don't see either Denver or Cincinnati denying the Patriots the number one seed.

Given a choice, what potential playoff teams do we most want the Patriots to face? Off the top of my head it is probably something like
  1. Colts/Texans
  2. Jets
  3. Bengals

While the teams we least want the Pats to go up against would probably be
  1. Steelers
  2. Chiefs
  3. Broncos
Though that order can most certainly be debated.

I'll take my chances with BB and the team.

Nothing personal to the Steelers, just business.

It would be better if the Broncos just lose and are too far behind the Pats. The Pats are really banged up and need as much rest as possible.

I think the CIN/DEN game the following week will almost assure us of a bye, since one of them will obviously have to lose (or more specifically in the unlikely case of a tie--not win).

As a guy who believes that the bye is probably one of the most important pieces to winning the SB, or at least has been in the BB/Brady era 6 appearances, I'd be okay with having the #2 seed if it meant having to go to Cincy or Denver with Pittsburgh staying home and complaining about faulty headsets.

I just cannot root for the whiney bythes known as Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Denver, Indianapolis, Jets, Dolphins or Bills ever for any reason.. bad karma.

When I think about doing so get wicked bad "agita"...

Lets get a win tomorrow, take it from there and let chips fall where they may. We control our destiny and next 3 are very beatable. Jets playing tonite and with a win they will be fired up even more at home next week against us so Pats need to take care of their business first.
