Patriots claim Leonard Hankerson

I've been a fan of Hankerson for a couple years, I thought he was gonna break out when he was with Washington but he didn't. He definitely has potential.

I find it interesting that the Pats are going after so many WRs lately. Seems like an interesting time to do so just a few weeks before the playoffs, plus with Edelman coming back and Martin developing, I don't see a glaring need...

Yes it does make you wonder if this was an opportunistic acquisition or one based on need because of Edelman's prognosis.

I love the move, has great size, good hands, speed, hope he can stay healthy only knock!!! Wanted him back in 2011!!!

This assumes that Edelman comes back and is 100%. From what I understand, Dez Bryant still isn't 100% and he doesn't rely on his quickness and didn't he have the same injury. I hope I'm wrong but I'm not taking for granted that we get full Edelman in the playoffs. Maybe by the SB. Fingers crossed regardless.

LaDrop LaCaught the first Patriots TD in the Super Bowl. Worth keeping that in the back of the mind.

"LaDrop"

Freaking funny.

Had pretty good heads at Miami.. Drops wasn't a big concern... Being kinda fragile was the knock on him..
At Miami his hands weren't that reliable either. In the NFL, they've been even worse.

Was reading an article in SI, that has Edelman ranked as a top 10 WR in dropped passes!! Big deal, does that mean he isn't a good WR? Don't need this kid to be Chris carter, just hopefully contribute...

According to Pro Football Focus, Brandon LaFell has dropped 24.2 percent of catchable passes, 82nd among 83 qualifiers
