INJURY UPDATE: Blount is done for the year. Will go to IR

I may be in the minority here, but I don't see this as a huge loss. He hasn't been very good this year.

He was averaging 4.3 yards per carry. That's 14th best for players with over 100 carries. Only one fumble on 165 carries. That is solid production, especially considering that he plays ona team that has entire game plans that scrap the run.

Most of that was probably concentrated in a handful of games vs teams with atrocious run defenses. He would have been useless in the postseason, just as he was last year (unless we would have been fortunate enough to play Indy again.)

If this team repeats with all that they've had to deal with I don't give a **** if the Panthers go undefeated in the regular season, this would be right up there with 2003 and 2004 in terms of amazing in-season coaching jobs to handle injuries and Belichick deserves COTY.

Not a huge loss, but he has two talents: beating down a tired run defense and taking said tired run defense to the house. Most times though, against good teams, he will not have enough success early to wear anyone down.

Pretty consistent regardless of who they faced.. With the lone exception being the Jets game..

These injuries are insane:( montee ball time?

No-one will agree with me but I would take a look at Christine Michael, just released by the Redskins. I know he's supposed to have locker room issues but we only need someone for 3 games and the playoffs.

That's 6 games.. That's a lot of time.. The Redskins were his 3rd team this season after being traded by the Seahawks to Dallas. If Dallas and Washington let the guy go for attitude issues, there really is no hope for him, imho..

It's not optimal but there's little out there and he should at least be in shape having been on a (several) roster all season. Again, though, I don't expect anyone to agree including Belichick.
