From Reiss:
That touchdown was the 10th of the season for Gronkowski, as he is the first tight end in NFL history with five seasons of at least 10 touchdown receptions.

He also went over 1,000 yards for the season, making him the first tight end in NFL history with three seasons of more than 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Here's to good health and a lengthy career Gronking his way through the nfl!

Im glad he played this week, next week he should be 100%

You guys'll laugh but I think he should get a couple of votes for MVP. If a DE can be considered for MVP (Watt Last year), then Gronk should just as well as he's shown he's invaluable to this team.

I've always been a fan of the Gronk...but it wasn't till tonight that I realized that he IS the greatest TE of all time. He changes everything.

It's one thing being a fan and saying yeah...he's my guy...he plays for the Pats and is amazing. But it's something completely different when you realize this player transcends all others that have ever played the position. We are witnessing something truly great. He is a game changer.

...but he's a prima dona and soft because he didn't play last week and we lost and it was all his fault! Just read some threads on here.
The poster that started this thread was one of those people so it's pretty funny you say that.

Closing in on some team history as well. Needs 4 TD catches to take the franchise TD catch record away from Morgan (who had 67). And needs 75 yards to pass Ben Coates (5471) and move to #5 on the franchise leaderboard for receiving yards.

I just remember in his rookie year during a pre-season game, where he dragged like 2 players hanging onto his legs 15 yards and got the TD. Was one of the most amazing things I'd ever seen a player do.

Yup, happened right in front of me. He dragged James Lauranitis (no slouch) about 10 yards into the end-zone. I thought to myself (like the trainer in Secretariat): "You about to see something you ain't never seen before!"

I remember thinking, this doesn't happen in the NFL! Everyone's huge (and equally talented) in the NFL! And yet he threw them around like rag dolls. He was like an adult playing with 10 yr olds.

Gronk isn't just the best TE, he is so far better than anyone who's ever played TE. Most of those great receiving TE weren't very good at blocking and he is among the best blocking TE in the game too. This combination of consistently putting elite WR numbers + his blocking hasn't been seen in the NFL and could very well never be seen again.

He will go down as the undisputed, incomparable TE in history and maybe even the best football player ever. Unbelievable what a player he is and to have him with that cap hit until 2019 is invaluable. Gronk and Brady earn combined abit more than Revis.

Actually, Grahambo was pretty good at dragging wannabe tacklers, and perhaps even better than Gronk at blocking.

But of course there's a huge difference in their receiving ability.
