1st and goal hurry up run with White. If they take their time..maybe PA..or Blount in there when he should have..could have been a huge swing and not cost us the game. I know just one small play...but it really really killed that drive IMO

@AntonChigurh81 raged at the decision at the time. They failed to block at least 3 guys on the front side of the play

IMHO, they should have gone right back to the play where White scored earlier. If they are going to hurry-up in that situation, it should be a Brady plunge, not a hand-off..

I think I would go with the punt block, but that one certainly was a close second. Everybody and their brother knows they are doing that hurry up run thing, everyone. Maybe its time to start play faking out of that, its not fooling anyone anymore.

I agree. Not a run

Was really hoping this wasn't more *****ing about the drop kick lol.

Run was fine, it worked against Buffalo 2 weeks ago. Problem was they threw it 2 times after, when they should have just brought the goal line package in and run it 2 times with Blount.

I was driving to my girlfriend's house listening to the Pats play by play on Sirius and I think Zo had a stroke after that play.

this was a critical play, you are right. losing 4 yards was a huge swing....

honestly, I was screaming at the TV set on the play before, when White didnt get into the end zone. Looked weak to get knocked down like that so close. But thats his MO, he goes down right away on contact.

if he had scored... well, who knows

Screw Zo. I had a coronary (drop kick), seizure (punt block) and they nearly finished me off with a stroke on the punt return.

Zo ain't got nothin on me.

He had a right to have a stroke...Josh gets too cute for his own good sometimes. You have a big back...3 runs into the line should do it......check....Brady into the line probably SCORES.

I agree 100%

Anyone know if it's Brady initiating the hurry up? Or a signal from the sideline? (McDaniels or Belichick)

Regardless, the goal-line hurry up has been pretty bad over the last 2 maybe 3 years. It seems to lose yards more often than not.

That was a 14 point swing.

White barely got in against the Bills. Predictable and always to the right. On another note I have called for random qb sneaks as part of our running game and enjoyed seeing it.

Brady is durable and taking hits anyway. Its crazy but he is our best short yardage back. He should do it on 1st and second downs and force the D to account for him.

I havent seen the rush play work yet. Matter of fact I've seen it cause a number of false starts from us. It doesn't fool anyone, it has never worked, let's remove that from the offense Josh.

I didn't think it was a horrible idea to hurry it up but the execution was horrendous. It worked the last time we did it.

Besides I don't think Blount, Bolden or White would be able to score on a regular running play near the goal line. They've been pretty terrible at it. The offensive line and the running backs (excluding Lewis) have been absolute dog **** on third and short situations. Makes me wonder if we should just line up in shot gun on all of our third and short situations unless we are trying to kill clock. A telegraphed run is a wasted play for us.

We have scored many touchdowns with the hurry up inside the 5 especially when the defense on the field for the previous play was not goal line specific. An Eagles player or 2 made a great read and play on that one ... too often we kind of forget that. Failure is not always a mistake ... sometimes the other team makes a good/great play ... like how we won the super bowl.

That loss wasn't on White. Three DL were in our back field immediately after the snap.

How is this on White when 3 maybe 4 DL came in basically unblocked?

First and goal from the 1...I know...let's run our third down back up the mddle.
You know, the one that you can knock over with a bag of feathers.

Un effin believable.

This is Skippy's signature bonehead play.

The issue people have isn't with white, it is the call to leave home there on 1st and one at the one. There isn't a heavy set "check with me?" Brady could run there for a td or sneak? Or atleast close to positive yardage rather than that loss? Then panic and go split wide. Rather than let the huge slow looking rb continue to run at a soft run d...what do the young guards supposedly do well? That's right, run block. Run the damn ball with regularity. Blount was freestyling but successful for much of the game. White flashed out of the backfield once Brady hit him...late. If anything, "run" blount on a PA route with a bail out toss OOB rather than White between the tackles on goal and short. FFS.
