Broncos post game discussion

I understand that the offense is depleted but they play calling was beyond predictable and terrible. They wasted downs for a full quarter and a half, throwing balls at Chandler in double coverage on the sidelines and running crappy RBs who can't even do a decent job of fighting for 1 yd at times. A little more creativity on offense would make a huge difference.

If they would've got into FG position by taking advantage of just 1 of several drives with great starting field position (instead of punting) it would've been a 3 score game and no way Denver comes back.

The 2nd offensive drive of the game comes to mind immediately.

Also, the way they handled the end of the first half was frustrating. Even there, a FG was a very real possibility.

Harper cost the Patriots 7pts. No doubt. He did not step up when he got his chance. He did nothing in the entire game when he had snaps.

As for a post saying why didnt they put a veteran in. Who? Amendola & Edelman has been our returners.

Chung was back there earlier and had a decent ~10 yard return

you realize the broncos had 10 starters out right?

Was a good game to watch.

Should enjoy the game instead of coming up with a million excuses. your 10-1.

And the zebras. Honestly, and maybe it's because I'm not a fan of the other team, but I'd be scared to see NE again if I were a Denver fan. I'd be happy and hope to never see NE in the playoffs, at Mile High or the Razor. It took OT and the zebras for you to beat a team that is literally missing every big name (lost two in the game) on the whole roster. Seriously? You're missing TJ Ward, who is overrated, and Ware, who is over the hill. Miss me with that "we were injured too" BS, Denver fans. And also miss me with that "we had penalties too" BS as well. EVERY call in the fourth quarter went against NE, except for maybe one. GTFOH.

Were they All-Pros and their most important players? You name the players the Broncos were missing. I'll name the ones NE was without. And then we'll compare and see which list is more impressive.

I think we will looking back at this game as the start of a championship run. They had everything going against them, then for them, then against them, and they just kept coming.

Tj Ward- Starting Safety
D Ware- Starting OLB. Has had a great year
Vasquez - Starting RG
Peyton Manning - Starting QB
Sylvester Williams- Starting DT
J Norwood and L Doss.

i forget other cpl guys. Not a broncos fan.

But i think coming up with injuries as an excuse is silly when every team has injured players.

The Pats have 2 on the PUP list, 15 on IR, plus 3-4 starters who were inactive due to injury. The Broncos started the game with 4 players on IR, plus Ware and Manning inactive due to injury.

We still should have won.

i just think it was a really fun game to watch.

The snow and all. Alot better then this game on MNF right now.

We don't need to use injuries as an excuse. We are 10-1 and should have won last night if not for the horrendous display of officiating (YES that part is a helluva valid excuse). I only tend to bring up the injuries because it's pretty damn remarkable to lose so many key players (esp on offense) and be playing at perhaps a higher level than last years championship team.

Do you honestly feel good about a rematch either both teams at full strength or the same teams that started last night? I'd be happy for the win, but wouldn't expect to get calls like that ever again and would be more concerned and less proud about the performance. It was a gift from NY or maybe Vegas.

Given the refs standards last night... This was a blatantly missed hold on the Broncos center. I think it was Easley rushing.

Very 1st play of the Broncos tying drive. ~36 yard pass.

That 52 yard Brady pass to Keyshawn Martin got wiped out due to a less obvious hold in comparison.

You're a p*ssy. Malcom Brown would kick Williams ass and Ward's a bigger p*ssy than you and could really use a good kick in the balls. Stop acting like Peyton not being out there is such a travesty. Peyton Manning's a starting quality quarterback right now about as much as I am and I'm a skinny non-athletic person that gets excited when I get a paper ball into a trash can from 10 feet away. Those players are nothing compared to the injuries the Pats had and you know it. Well maybe you don't and you're delusional.

Unless you mean 2013 Manning I don't see any player on your list that impact-wise comes even close to single player that the Pats were missing.

Also don't give me that D. Ware ********.. at this point of the season and at his age he has become a very average (and grossly overpaid) edge rusher. For many years in a row he has been starting a season fast and then runs out of gas around November. This year is no different.

They are a very average team that should be at around 6 wins but they were gifted plays by other teams and refs. I kinda happy that they almost have no way but play Osweiler the rest of the season unless he extremely ****s the bed.

Had a day to think about the loss and it has to be the most infuriating loss ever that was total ********. Some of us went with the mentality that the Pats possibly could lose, but the way the game went the officiating the injury to Gronk and HT and that we had multiple chance to put the game away is what pisses me off. The media proclaiming them as favorites now ugh hopefully Pats get HFA what matters now is the Lombardi and nothing else. GO PATS no more injuries please.

I was going to make a list, but when I read Peyton Manning's name on yours, you instantly lost all credibility to me and it would be a waste of time to continue this argument/debate. Have a good day. Good luck the rest of your season and please, for your team's sake and your sanity, I hope you're hoping to never see the Patriots at full strength the rest of the way. It won't be good for your team. So enjoy your SB victory from a few nights ago, and go troll someone else's board. And I'm saying this as one of the more humble sports fans around. I'm all for good football debate, but not if the other person is going to be asinine.

Harper effed us. No running game at all(why even activate Blount?). How many times did we fail w/ the right sideline bombs to Chandler? Where are the reverses and our screen game?

Mayo for the most part was a disappointment. Secondary was decent in coverage minus those 2 bombs at the end.

I suspect the reason why they let Harper go was not so much for the fumble, but he did not call for the fair catch.. that was a fair catch situation. Confident he was coached to just catch the ball.

The long ball to Chandler was low risk possible reward, however after the second time should have shelved that idea..

Exactly!

Just like last season where he started hot and was a non-factor by something like week 11.

They are an average team that had everything align for them on one night to win the game. I even gave Brock props and commented on the big boy plays he made in that game. He stood up and met the challenge head on. Then I have to come to my board and hear from some trolling fan of the other team that I'm (we) am using injuries as an excuse. Did you watch the game? Can you name anyone other than Gronk that Brady was throwing the ball to in that game? Did you not see the difference in the D once Hightower went down?

Here's a small sampling:

Before High's injury: DEN RB's 15 carries for 43 yards
After High's injury: DEN RB's 15 carries for 136 yards

Show me where any of your (not you) losses impacted the game like that. I'm stepping away from the argument because continuing it at this point would be the biggest waste of time in my life right now.

I agree on Harper and will also add that I think a general lack of overall productivity was also a catalyst. If he made that mistake but was burning things up in the passing game, then NE obviously forgives that error, IMO. But when you make that mistake AND you haven't really given the team anything in any other area of the game, then why keep you around? What are you providing that we can't get from someone else on the roster at that point?
