@AdamSchefter: Update on Rob Gronkowski: told it's a "minor knee strain" and the timeframe is "a week or two most likely," per source. Best case for NE.

I hope he can tough it out vs. Houston. We'll need him.

I say this tongue-in-cheek but I would have no problem if they put him on the Matt Harvey plan. Once Gronk gets to 900 yards stop playing him until the playoffs.

If I don't see gronk for 5 weeks but he's back to his old self, I pay that tax every time.

We dodged a huge huge bullet last night. No need to rush anyone back anymore. Let chandler get as comfortable as possible with Brady, cause we will need him even when everyone returns.

Did Houston replace its turf? If they still have the same turf they had several years ago, I wouldn't play Gronk there.

I think that Chandler is comfortable with Brady. Not sure about vice versa b/c he just kind of stinks.

Idk. I want us at full health but we have to find a way and win the next 3 before the last two division games on the road. Very frustrating year with these injuries

Even after he comes back he'll be gun shy for a while. Recall how he played defensively after his previous injuries. It'll take some time to get back to his Gronking with abandon style of play.

I was way more upset about the Gronk injury than the loss, so this actually makes me feel a lot better.

With the flux at o-line, Collins, Hi out. Average LBs, No Lewis, DA and JE and a running game trying to find itself, I'm not expecting rompings anymore. I'm expecting every game to have a narrow margin of victory.

Last night was on it's way in shoddy weather to a romping. Harper and the refs changed all of that. Amendola back this week is a start.

Great news!!
I'm fine if Gronk misses the game in Houston.
Between that physical defense and that horrible turf I'd prefer he stay home.
Patriots need to get one of the two byes.
I don't worry about this team with a healthy Gronk having to go on the road for an AFC championship game either in Denver or Cincy.
Don't want anyone rushed back into the line-up worrying about finishing with the best record in the AFC.
Just get one of the bye weeks and get rested and ready.
Denver and Cincy play one another....that helps the Patriots either way.
Patriots need to grind it out over the next 5 weeks. Even if they lose one more they're in great shape for one of those byes.

I was numb last night, thought the season was over. It felt like Brady in '08.

This is amazing news, completely removes any pain from the loss.

Yeah I watched the rest of the game emotionless after he went down. I didn't flinch when we lost, I didn't care. I felt like the season was over anyway. Amazing news to hear he's ok.
