Brady sealed up the MVP last night

Don't care about the season MVP. Lombardi trophy is the only thing I care about, Brady would tell you the same. Regular season MVP is for media-darlings and is probably going to Cam at this point.

I heard (Tim Hasselbeck) talk about how hard it is for Cam to scramble and run around for 20-30 yards at full speed then come back to throw a 15yard curl or out pattern. He feels Cam is a rare human for being able to do that.
I am not one to argue...as the most I have is 20-30 yards and that was for curly fries.

But the Panthers are undefeated in large part because of Cam, so this seems reasonable.

It's mostly because of the D. Newton was hardly a factor until about 3 weeks ago, where he faced garbage team.

MVP:

1. Brady
2. Kuechly
3. Palmer
4. Dalton

The media is 100% ballwashing Cam Newton at this point (after doing so for Rodgers, Luck was no longer an option)

Rooting hard for them to lose, what be a travesty if he won over Brady. We can act like MVP doesn't matter but I know it would mean a lot for Brady (especially after the offseason he went through) he goddamn deserves it.

Winning is the best statistic, so I have no problems with the attention given Cam. He's not just a caretaker, he's critical to their success.

I'd be a hypocrite if I ask people to weigh in Brady's out-of-this-world win/loss record as vitally important in the GOAT conversation, and then tell somebody to not pay attention to the fact that Cam is delivering wins on a weekly basis this year (so far).

so if they were 10-1 he wouldn't be an MVP candidate?

I'm not saying it's rational, I'm saying that this is the way the MVP voters will judge. Undefeated season is a big, bright, shining thing in the "for" column. Take that away and Cam's stats start looking pretty mediocre in comparison to Brady's or Palmer's.

There is absolutely no way Brady wins the MVP this year - NONE. I don't care how good his stats are, I don't care if the Pats win their remaining games by an average of 21 points and Brady throws 20 TDs & ) picks. It ain't happening. Last night should show us all that there is a concerted effort to derail the Patriots, to nullify any positive "things" the team might have.

If Carolina finishes 11-5 Newton still gets the award. There is no f#cking way that Goodell's league gives Brady the MVP - no way. If not Newton, then palmer, if not Palmer they'll give to A Peterson. I may have gone off the f#cking deep end with this one last night. Is there a way the league could have orchestrated the injuries? I fully expect some mysterious calls Sunday - and to think, the league moved it from a national game. So, fewer eyes watching, more chances to make schitty calls with less live scrutiny...

As I said before, the media does not want to vote for TB so they are looking for any viable options. Palmer or AP will not win. People are going to use the Pats loss yesterday as a reason to give it to Cam unless the Panthers lose even though statistically Brady smashes him in nearly all QB categories.

completely agree. Its dumb for Cam to only be an MVP in someones mind because the Panthers are undeafeated but it will be equally dumb when someone doesn't vote for Cam or Brady because of #integrity. That will probably be the calling card for the Palmer MVP people, worse stats but no dabbing or ballghazi

1) T. Brady

2) C.Palmer

3) C. Newton

4) L. Keuchly

5) A. Dalton

People who get upset at "dabbing" may be the only people worse than Deflategate truthers. It's football, it's supposed to be fun entertainment.

I don't really care if he wins it or not. It's the Super Bowl that counts, not the MVP. However I'll say this much:

1. He played his ass off against a tough Bills defense a week ago. I've seen Brady get pressured like that a couple times in his entire career. It was incredible that he stood in there and delivered enough to win the game.

2. Last night he missed a couple of throws, no doubt about it. But he also threw three TD's to no INT's. And he got several completions called back including a 50 yard pass to I believe Martin or LaFell. And talk about balls of steel on that final drive. Despite clock mismanagement he still drive us right into FG range for the tie. That was epic and it's too bad we lost cuz that drive fades into the background.

Let Cam have MVP. It's what the league wants. Brady is just a footnote in this pathetic league.
To me he is THE GOAT.

I like Cam, but he should not be in the MVP discussion.

He's 19th in passer rating, 17th in ANY/A, 14th in DVOA, & 18th in DYAR, 20th in INT %, etc.

Just think, the broncos are 9-2 with Manning/Brock, and the Panthers D is ranked higher than theirs (1 vs 2) in weighted DVOA.

Its really only Brady vs Palmer IMO, with Dalton not that far behind.

MVP will be Newton or Palmer.

Brady is at Belichick status now where he has to have an all-time year for a QB to get the award

And really, we should all be more than fine with that.

Let someone else win the MVP. It's pretty much been a curse for any postseason hopes.

Why are people anti cam ? Its not like he is surrounded by hall of famers. Their schedule ? Everyone's schedule is crap ..hardly any good teams in the league. Panthers wont be 11-0 without cam same as pats wouldnt be 10-1 without brady.
Also brady suffers from the fact he is brady (althought they never use that logic if its peyton manning)

I don't think it's necessarily "anti-Cam," as you say, but more so the fact that his stats aren't quite up to the same level as TFB.

Newton has had an impressive season though, with 20 TD throws (9 INTs), and another 7 TDs on the ground/approx 450 yds rushing.
