Broncos post game discussion

He was pretty effective on the last drive to tie the game. If we are going to point fingers, I'm not sure Scott Chandler would even be on the list.
It's a good thing I wasn't just talking about last night's game, huh? But yeah, I don't think Chandler would be on a list of things that went wrong yesterday. My post was a cumulative observation based on my (and quite a few others') expectations for what he would bring to the table.

I thought Osweiler played well, doubt we'll see Peyton playing again this year unless the kid gets injured.

I thought Anderson ran the ball the way I wish Blount would run for us - hit the hole fast, carry the first tackler for a few yards. He also had enough speed to turn the corner on a couple of runs (with the help of some holding, especially on his first TD run).

The D looked gassed in the 4th quarter and OT, I'm sure due to it being a high altitude game on a short week.

Butler and Ryan played well, but at the end got out-jumped to a couple of balls by the Denver receivers. Still, it's nice to have 2 young CBs playing this well.

Well pats cannot afford to lose another game if they want home field. Not saying the pats will lose all these games but the potential to lose against the Texans, jets and dolphins are all there. The good news is that the Bengals play the Broncos so someone had to lose.

Here's some additional points, FWIW.

Denver - 179 rushing. Give up 179 yards on the ground and it's tough to win.

Patriots outscored 23-3 after the Harper fumble. Harper fumbled with 14:26 left in the game. Completely turned the game around.

I think the Pats D was gassed in the high altitude and being on the field so much (over 36 minutes of a 62 minute game).

Pats blew the call on the excess timeout, allowing about 15 seconds to run off the clock. Maybe the Pats get two shots at the end zone in those 15 seconds. Collingsworth its right. The rule book is ridiculous. It took me two reads to figure out the rule.

Hard to believe it was this close, given the injuries. If DA or JE play, the Pats win.

The "perfect season" monkey is off their back. I'm telling Santa I want healthy players for Christmas.

Ok, my bad. I didn't read that in your post well enough. He's not Gronk or the Prisoner, but he can be effective in this offense.

I'm not ready to put him in Cooperstown Canton yet;) but Denver has to be encouraged. We'll see as the film library on him develops.

Fixed that for ya. Everything else is absolutely right though. :)

I hear you and don't disagree. I will say that he has shown inconsistent hands. Speed and power are two things that he can't immediately do anything about. Catching the ball, however, is something he must and could get immediately better at doing.

Both sides benefited from having a slippery field negating the defensive fronts. The difference in the game was one club had a "mudder" rb.

I know many might disagree and think RB is not really that important in today's NFL..I disagree...Blount is horrible. He's slow and for a big man, hits the hole too slow. With all the receivers down, wouldn't it be great just to have a decent RB that can take a little pressure off Brady?

I think he played poorly except for the go ahead drive. 2 lucky passes?..I don't know, but they were perfectly thrown. Pats had constant pressure on him most of the night and he didn't find secondary receivers fast enough. He also was inaccurate most of the night and missd some easy throws.
Pats healthy beat Denver easily in the play-offs IMO..home or away

I will take the winning streak that runs from November to November over the one that runs from September to January.

Time for another November--November streak.
But we just lost in November. LOL Just messing around.

This game has a huge 2004 regular season Steelers feel to it, doesn't it? The frustration, the ****iness of the Broncos, something in me really really really hopes we play them again IN Denver come January. Finish the deal

Let's say they play again in den, NE has dola and JE back. Different game and I like their chances.

Brady under no circumstances should be throwing deep he has the worst Touch on deep balls ever. The pass to Bolden took two years to get there...stop with that carp Brady and stick to the intermediate stuff you are not Big Ben. We had some terrible sets and calls on Offene last night wasting valuable downs.

I'd still gladly take all my playoff games at home, kind sir. LOL
Me too, but I would play that team on the moon with, dola,JE, Collins, Hightower and Gronkoski. The moon I say!!!

Harper ****ed up but I can't help but feel that's a massive mistake on behalf of the coaches. A veteran should have been in for that situation, not a rookie.
Agreed!! Put Chung back there. Harper hasn't even been on the field for this team this season and they put him back there in a prime time night game as the snow is falling??
He is STILL peeing down his leg......
Foolish! Love this coaching staff but they do some dumb things sometimes.
This was a case where they did not put the team in the best possible position to win. I'd like to know if Harper was given instructions to either fair catch the ball or get away from it and let it drop. Patriots were getting good field position either way.
That play turned the game. And it didn't have to happen that way.
