Only one pass given up to Thomas the whole game and it was late in the game.

That was one stunning performance from him tonight if there's a positive to take from this game.

He's still gonna get **** on by his haters.

Ryan was outstanding almost all game. Too bad he and Butler had to fall back to Earth in that last series. Kudos to Brown, as well.

Have really been impressed with him the past couple of games, whatever Butler and he are ingesting share the wealth.. this is one of the best defensive backfields we have had in a while, and better still it is home grown talent..

Every DB and every player has an occasional brain fart.. could have covered Caldwell better, but it happens..

Hopefully the whole story line of Revis & co going elsewhere and the questionable secondary that gets brought up by the commentators every game gets dropped. Butler and Ryan can play ball.

I knew the guy had talent to play in the league. I did not know he could be shutdown type. He showed that potential yesterday. Now, I'd like to see him do it against someone who competes harder after being met head up, like Bekham against Butler, before I get too excited. Thomas has been known to shrink when those first few plays don't go his way. But that's just me more-or-less trying to find a reason to temper enthusiasm. There's still a lot of football to be played. But he looks nothing like the guy who struggled all of last year and through TC. I guess he just needed the reps to keep building that confidence. He was ALWAYS talking to Revis last season on the sidelines in games or walking up to the practice field. That's the sign of someone who wants to get better and, by all accounts, he works very hard in practice.

We needed him to step up this year and so far he's getting it done big time. Not just this game, in the last two month he's playing at very high level.

Player of the game for sure.

In a while? We had a pretty good one last season. LOL

IMO last year it was about mercenaries, this year it is about home grown talent.. both good, but like this defensive backfield better, as never expected them to be this good..

Well, that still doesn't mean the secondary wasn't better last season, D. This year's secondary has exceeded everyone's hopes, but there's still tons of room to grown. Whereas, the unit last season was strong, experienced and a LOT deeper. To me, those factors make them better.

I do agree that I really like this group too. They are playing at a really high level and should only get better if they all stay healthy which, as we've seen, is hardly a guarantee this year with this team.

I thought on both those plays the coverage was pretty good, but Osweiler made perfect throws. And in the case of the Thomas catch, it was a great catch to boot.

Injuries are not team specific.. they happen across the NFL, we have been hit harder than most..

Really doesn't f..ing matter, just that I like this group better than last years.. no big deal, the sun will set this afternoon.. all it means that from my couch this is what I see..

Wow, calm down, bro. If you go back and read my last post, I even put that I agree with you. I was merely pointing out, jokingly I might add, that the original statement where you put something like 'best secondary in a while' was kind of funny because last year's groups was damn good. But if you want to get your feelings hurt by me just having a friendly football conversation, then that's your business. Take care, buddy.

I agree. There was next to nothing that either could have done more except grown longer arms.

That tends to happen in the 4th quarter playing in Denver. The thin air is by far the greatest home field advantage the league has ever seen.

I recall only a couple weeks back a poster (Deus) was trying to make the argument that he wasn't as good as Ellis Hobbs.

Hobbs was a great return guy, but as far as being a coverage guy it's not even close and the gap is widening. This kid is really starting to get it.
