I'm just teasing you @Archeryaddict12. I understand what you're saying, but keep the faith man. Jeez...

O'Connor: In defeat, Patriots still win if Gronk injury isn't serious

Rob Gronkowski delivered the most important visuals of the night. He was dressing at his locker as if nothing of consequence had just happened on the Denver Broncos' field. Seriously.

Gronkowski was packing his bag, bending over to retrieve this and that, putting on his deodorant, slapping his headphones around his neck and, finally, rolling out of there in his blue sweatsuit as if he merely needed to rub some dirt on whatever minor ache was nagging at him. He hobbled a bit on his wounded right knee as he wheeled his bag toward the bus, stopping to grab a lunch bag and chat with a couple of friends. But no, this did not look like a tight end who would play his next football game in the fall of 2016.

I'm listening to 98.5 now and two things stand out:

a) Zo said Gronk walked to the bus with no limp or any other altered movement

b) They said Gronk could be heard in the locker room *****ing about a play (no doubt the OPI) and never said anything about the knee hurting in any way

and

c) They said nobody is talking about High. Zo said that this is usually the case when a player is feared to be significantly injured.

Take all of what appears in this post with a grain of salt, but I am listening to 98.5 as we speak and just typing as I'm hearing this stuff.

The latest theory is that it's a hyperextended knee injury.

If that's the case - it will be 2-4 weeks of recovery. By NFL standards this will most likely be two weeks, rather than four.

Now if this is paired with a tear (mcl, pcl, acl) then it will require surgery and he'll be out 6-9 months.

Bruschi had the same thing. Was hurt late in 04 season and played on it during the playoffs.

Hopefully it's just hyperextention and needs a couple of weeks.

And my fear is just because he was moving around seemingly with no issue does not necessarily mean there is no tear.:(

I hope it's the same situation as Paul Pierce in that one final. He grabbed his knee in pain and was wheelchaired away but came back out to play 15 minutes later.
Same thought went thru my mind once I saw him walking around without a limp.

My god.

It was after 1:00 when I went to bed last night and I all but assumed he was out for the year. Heading to bed it was like getting kicked in the stomach.

At least we have hope for Gronk.

In the end, whatever percentage of players we get back, the guys that will have gotten game time experience will give us some good depth if we need it.

Lots of season left....!

Thanks, Doc.

Note to Chris Price:

Please tell us which Boston media were cheering the Pats' loss in the press box.
Shank had an explosion so large he was doing the Australian crawl in it...

I woke up this morning expecting to hear the worst and he was going to miss the rest of the year. Very surprised and happy to hear that it may not be as bad as what we thought. Going to keep my fingers crossed that we hear good news later today!!!!

IF Gronk's injury isn't serious the season is saved. If it was just Gronk I wouldn't be so extreme but with Solder and Lewis gone, Edelman in question, Amendola always in doubt if Gronk is gone what is left? Lafell is at best a 3rd receiver and the others not even solid 5th's. Chandler is an average second TE. Blount just doesn't seem like the same player and White is a backup and nothing more. Bolden, gulp, might be our best running back now. Hopefully Hightower and Collins return soon. They are going to need the defense to play out of it's mind.
