Believe me, nobody here thinks you do that.

Wow, nice one! That stings so much, bruh. That was just the greatest comeback of the century. lol. Can I give you a bag of ****s for you to choke on? It's on the house.

Awww seriously though, how much did you cry though, when you changed your stupid "Cut Harper" OP into an "I am tough and am not gonna let you guys bully me and I dont care what you think" post.

Was a lot of crying or just a few sniffles?

I cried hard, my friend. The tears were just streaming down my face. No one has ever disagreed with me before. Ever. My whole world's changed.

Honestly, I think the more troubling sign (not the punt return fumble) for Harper is that the Pats specifically gameplanned to keep him off the field on offense. I don't know when exactly his first snap was, but I'm pretty sure we saw formations with seven offensive linemen, three tight ends, or two running backs before Harper made it on the field as the third WR.

Obviously we won't write off his entire future right now, but he's destined for a trip back to the practice squad. I would have expected him to stick on the roster as the #4 until both Edelman and Amendola are back, but after tonight I wonder if they cut him once Amendola is healthy. It's hardly worth having Harper on the roster as the #4 if they refuse to use him even when he's the #3.

Edit: according to PFF_NateJahnke, Harper didn't see the field until the last minute of regulation, finishing with 5 snaps.

I guess we'll find out if he learns from his mistakes.

Harper does not have a future in the NFL on the patriots. Get rid of him.

Thanks.

No. But your post speaks and subsequent edits speak volumes about you.

Yo Ross where are you? Stop hiding, they are attacking your binky. Lol, just joking.

OP, knee-jerk reaction much? Settle down. Take a breath.

Above all, knock off the passive-aggressive, prima donna antics. Those foul-smelling stunts are worthy of a Jesticles fan.

We're onto Philadelphia.

Lets also cut Hicks for not holding on to the fumble Chandler Jones created, Bostic for not recovering an even worse muffed punt by the Broncos and finally Patrick Chung for dropping that INT that came right into his hands on Denver's go ahead TD drive in the 4th Q.

This was one of those nights where everything just went against us.. the ball bounces, many called/uncalled ticky-tacky situations, injuries and while Harper playing a role in the entire situation the game could have been (and with more consistent refereeing was) won on many other occasions.

Chung is our other punt returner. Chung has already flubbed at least one.

Not gonna crucify the kid. Should have just let it bounce but then again if the coaches didn't tell him to play it safe I put just as much blame on them.

I also blame the offense for not moving the ball well and the defense for pooping on itself toward the end. But mostly I blame the officiating.

Of course, if he let it bounce and it hit him or another player, it's also a free ball. This is 20 20 hindsight. He's not the only NFL player to have ever muffed a punt.

Oh common man. Should the Pats have cut Gronk after that dismal game he had in Cleveland during the '10 season? Now I am not comparing Harper to Gronk, but with rookies you just have to take the bad and hope for what ever potential they have to develop. This was more of coaching mistake, if anything. Anyways, at this point who do the Pats send out to play wide-out? Beggars can't be choosers, at least not until the playoffs when they get the offense back together.

I remember the thread to cut Gronk when he fumbled a few balls in that Cleveland loss.

I also remember Jules getting booed in TC when he started fielding punts.

I'm not going to over-react to one poor play in terrible conditions by an UDFA.

BB could have put Chung back out there too. The defense had chances to close this out and let Edward Cullen make big plays time after time after time. The offense also stalled, insisting on running that damn draw play from the shotgun over and over and over again. The coaches wasted the last 2 minutes of the first half with 3 timeouts and the GOAT at QB, who was also undefeated in snow games prior to last night. And yes, we got screwed on a bunch of calls. But we still had our chances to win and didn't take them.

Nobody loses a game in one play. We didn't lose because Harper fumbled a punt, although that was part of it. But if the fate of your team relies exclusively on the play of an UDFA, you've got way bigger problems than losing a fumble.

To put this in perspective Troy Brown fumbled 11 punts in his illustrious career.. .

Welker fumbled 5 punts when he was in NE(17 times a a punt returner combined)...

For a PS player this stuff happens as it happens to most punt returners... shyt happens on the big stage on a cold night in the snow...

Don't worry, everyone makes posting mistakes. You won't be cut from the board for it. There will be more opportunity to make a contribution the community sees as worthy.

Was gonna post this thread myself. Guy hasn't provided anything and will likely be another fodder anyways like Dobson and KT once more talent returns. So what's the point?
I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that almost every WR on the roster is injured.

Well they did cut him but I bet he comes back to the ps at some point
