Cut Harper, please.

There were people here who wanted GRONK cut (or at least benched) after the Cleveland game in 2010.
Shane Vareen multiple games and Assante Samuel also ... the list is long of who some wanted gassed.

I didn't say cut him I just said for a guy that's suppose to be quick, a backup to Edelman and dola, he can not get any seperation and add in a brain fart and that's really a bad recipe for a reciever.

Can't cut one of the few healthy WR we have left. Denver also muffed one but were lucky enough to recover it.

I blame this on Ross, we need to take it out on Ross. Ban him for a week or something.

If the OP had his way every time someone made a rookie mistake, Bledsoe would still be our QB

BB shouldve cut troy brown when he muffed the punt in 2002 in foxboro vs the jets.

Yes, because at that point in Brown's career, it wasn't like we'd seen him step up and make clutch plays. No, that's totally comparable to this. Harper is on the same level as a Troy Brown in his 9th year. My god.

Not gonna crucify the kid. Should have just let it bounce but then again if the coaches didn't tell him to play it safe I put just as much blame on them.

I also blame the offense for not moving the ball well and the defense for pooping on itself toward the end. But mostly I blame the officiating.

And cutting harper after 2 games because he made bad play will achieve what exactly ? Remove a practice player, remove a gameday player and most of all make you feel better about a team loss ?

Thanks.

Edit: Dislike my post all you want. Don't give a ****in ****. Like my user rating has anything to do with my life.
Terrible knee-jerk post. Harper has shown promise as a possession receiver but should not not be returning punts as a rookie. His gaffe tonight was on the coaches as much as him.

Harper should have had a red shirt year this year on the practice squad. It isn't his fault that with Amendola and Edelman down, he had to thrusted in the punt return role. The injury situation put him in a spot he shouldn't be in yet.

Maybe in preseason, but that's about it. He's made maybe one good catch in the regular season. And, also, he doesn't even look fast when he's returning punts, so I dunno why he's even back there. Go back to letting Blount run it back.

Remember when Gronk fumbled in our loss against Cleveland in 2010 and there were threads asking Bill to cut him?

Gronk scored 3 TD's against the Steelers on SNF the next week and look what he's done since. Not saying Harper will do the same thing but these type of threads are really, really stupid.

Watch out guys, the OP dosent care and probably cant stand it...

I didn't realize wanting one player cut suggests I think other teams are better than us. Great reading comprehension.

Listen, I'm just as peeved as everyone else that Harper muffed that punt, but let's be realistic here: He's not getting cut.

This kid is, well, still a kid. Hes the youngest player on our team.

And its unfortunate, but he made a costly error in an untimely situation that he was forced into due to injuries. Is what it is, he'll learn and grow from this mistake. If he doesnt, then he'll have a short career, but it certainly won't end now because of that.

I have to disagree, he made a mistake, **** happens, can't hold that against him.
We all make mistakes and we all deserve a chance to redeem ourselves.

When a player makes a mistake, they usually get motivated even more and get better the following time.
I'm sure he learned and he will be even better.

I was surprised to see him back there at all, given his inexperience and the conditions. Kinda falls on the coaching staff IMO.
