@STEVEBURTONWBZ: Danny Amendola is out against the Broncos. In fact, not even traveling with the team. #WBZ

We're outgunned, putting it mildly.

Ahhhhhh f***. Well, I guess that explains the promotion of Cleveland. Gonna be a lot of TE action Sunday night it would appear. Now is your time, Harper m'boy!

That's good, let him get more healthy. Lot of football to play and they are already thin. I am excited to see what they come up with. This is when the Pats are at their best, no-one can see what they see. But we are about to.

In my opinion, if we win this one under the conditions that have been imposed upon us, we are definitely going 16 and 0 (except if BB decides to rest some starters like Brady in future games)

We can afford a loss on Sunday. But it will probably mean that we have to play out all 17 weeks including the last two divisional games on the road.

Not an ideal spot to be in.

Very fair point. Remember 2011 when we were coming off two losses in a row and Sterling Moore was announced as the starting FS (I'm pretty sure it was also his first NFL game)? I, for one, had no confidence.

We did win out until the Super Bowl but the defense played at such a historically awful level thats it was only by the sheer domination of the offense that we kept winning.

Blount's gonna have 22 for 55 yards! Gonna be 3 yards & a cloud of Blount:D

Granted it was against Mark Sanchez, but I remember the defense holding its own in that one specific game. The injuries may not have even been finished piling up at that point, I don't quite remember.

Edit: but yeah, the way the defense played the rest of the season is hopefully not relevant to this.

Given the state of The OL and the lack of wide receivers how about if we start JAG as a sacrificial lamb? He will have died for his team. No greater sacrifice could a number two quarterback ever make

i would imagine chandler gets a lot of playlng time

Well ****. Yeah I think Denver will win. But, not a big deal even if they do. Still one game up on them with a cake schedule and Denver has a few tough ones left.

I don't remember that instance, but I have see this rodeo before with them. They are the swiss army knife of NFL teams. For me if they can simply tighten up the protection on the line they will be fine. Rex hasn't had the results of late, but he knows how to attack this team. I really don't think Wade Phillips is in the same class as Rex. So for me, they should block it up better. I also miss the old TE wham blocking plays we used to run back in the day. Maybe we will see some more of that with the extra TE's. I kept wondering why they didn't utilize it more last week to get the run game going. But, Buffalo has a very disruptive force in Darius on their front. That guy is a beast. I think this is a week we could see them try to do some more trap blocking with the ends to spark the run game. Just a guess, plus I love watching them earhole people.

Howe disagrees with Burton:

Denver has no excuse to lose this game. The Patriots are clearly the better team if we have Collins, Edelman, and Amendola. But with so many receivers injured and our offensive line at the height of its struggles against one of the leagues best defenses? In Denver?

It would a helluva impressive win if we pull it off. Defense needs to have one of its best games for us to win.

Just think we should pump brakes on ANY report from Steve Burton....seems like a really nice guy but if you've listened to his presser questions; not the brightest bulb....
