Denver QB Osweiler on Facing the Patriots: 'It's just a football game'

I rewatched Brady's first start yesterday because the Carolina/Dallas game was so ******ed Donald Trump will probably make fun of it.

The announcers kept talking about how confident Brady was, they brought up one point where he was trying to fire up team mates, etc.

Nothing wrong with confidence, dude.

Yeah, but you have to admit that the hipster sideburns are annoying.

Any word yet if mathis will play in this game? It's critical to stop their running game.

Confidence is a form of microagression ya bigot. Brady and Osweiler need to undergo mandatory sensitivity training.

Being a bigot is my fetish. Stop kinkshaming.

"Jeez, you sound like a half a prevert."

;)

One of the things regarding him that's a little concerning is the Patriots seem to struggle against guys like these, with one of the problems being they don't really have any film on him. Really hope New England can get up on them early and force them to play from behind. Part of the reason the Broncos won last Sunday was because they also rushed for 170 yards so that obviously took some of the pressure off of him. Fortunately stopping the run is a strong suit of New England's defense right now and hopefully they can shut Denver down on the ground and force him to beat them in the air and force some turnovers.
True .Patriots defense always seems iffy with mobile Qbs. And shanahan and kubiak's rollout bootlegs have always given BB trouble. Look at the baltimore playoff game last yr. With osweiler at least they have the arm and athletic ability to use kubiak's full offense which was limited by manning. Of course if we get them in third and long, the advantage of not playing manning could help.

Lol, makes me wonder how we went off track that badly where words like bigot, fetish and kinkshaming are now being thrown around at this point. I don't even get where that came from...never a dull moment here

Keep telling yourself that Brock because that's what they tell him to say, but if he listens to the sports talk and watches it they may convince him otherwise. I'll give him all the credit if he doesn't soil himself on Sunday night.

“If Osweiler has more than one start, the Broncos have gotten him ready,” Rapoport wrote. “They had him act as the starter during several days of training camp to see how the players would respond, and how Osweiler would be as the starter. Meanwhile, Manning sat. It was the same during some Wednesdays this season, which is something Manning had to come to grips with.”

How sold are Broncos on Osweiler? Source says Elway called teams offering him in trade during 2014 season. Would have taken a 6.

Your thoughts?
I think Elway himself may be holding judgement until after this game.

Get off our lawn!

No, but even if he goes he'll be extremely limited. Ankles aren't good. I'd be leaning towards no at this juncture.

It's just another game or another play is something you say to calm yourself down. You say it because you don't want it to be a big moment or a big game, because you're not a big moment guy.

Doesn't seem to be the MO of the greats, Bird, Jordan, Brady. Look at the SoundFX of the last Super Bowl. Brady comes out, 4th quarter, needing a TD, biggest moment in years and what does he say? Not "It's just another play guys" to calm everyone down. He says "What we need right now is a big championship drive".

I have no problem with what he said. Sounds like what any Patriot's player would say a la BB. What else is he supposed to say and not be criticized anyway.

Well...it is a football game

People have been repeating the "we don't do good against new QBs" thing ever since we started off the 2011 or 2012 season against the Titans and Jake Locker did decent against us. It simply isn't true. We eat young QB's lunch.

There's really no right moves with you people. What do you want him to say? Anything else and we'd be treating him like Rex.

I think Matt Chatam has it dead nuts on, in his take below........( click link and scroll down to Brock steady)

Football by Football

Patriots will confuse Brock to the point where by games end it will be "poor" Brock just wasn't ready for what NE had in store for him.

If we had a few offensive weapons, I'd be predicting a major blowout, since we do not and denver D isn't too shabby. I think we only win by 10.
