And by the way, what the hell did a team like the Jets do to earn THAT bad karma???

It has to be murder near as I can tell. Who's buried underneath the Meadowlands???

Jimmy Hoffa.

yeah...uh...WUT?

d%#*!@t Joker, how about a warning before you post something like that?

Think of the children!

An undefeated Patriots team would be a nightmare for a lot of people. Any discussion about the greatest team, coach, or QB would become about who is #2. In addition, you would have someone like Blount, Edelman, Hightower or Chung playing the Mercury Morris role for the next 40 years, gloating annually when the last undefeated team loses. No wonder people like Ryan are hoping it doesn't happen.
I can live with this!

Ryan is just pissed because his god, the newspaper god, is weak, worthless, and unable to save the dying remnants of his career.

I'm not sure why we're all so gleeful over the demise of the newspaper. You ought to take the time and go and see Spotlight, which is in the theaters currently.

So tired of that argument. Is he implying that the Pats are still "cheating"? Doing sketchy things in order to gain an advantage? This guy doesn't need to stoke the flames in order to get clicks. He can retire. I had respect for the guy. No so much anymore.
No. Jesus no. That is not what he's doing. Christ.

Who is Bob Ryan?
Bob Ryan is an over-the-hill Boston Globe sportswriter who last was relevant in the mid-1980s covering NBA basketball and the Celtics. Like fellow hacks CHB Shaughnessy and Man Hands MacMullan, he hates football but writes about it when forced to or when nothing else is going on. His perspectives matter little because he knows practically nothing about the sport yet arrogantly masquerades as an "expert" because he's a Globie.

A formerly great Writer who was part of the Hall of Fame Lineup of Peter Gammons, Nick Cafardo, Bob Ryan, and others who used to write for Pravda's Sports Section back when it was readable.

CAFARDO?!? Please. He's another turd. The Globe was already well downhill by the time he came on board. The Globe sports section peaked in the late 70s to early 80s and has been downhill ever since.

Montville >>> Cafardo

Ryan said she should be slapped around or something like that and subsequently got suspended.
My bad, you're right. Off mic, but he said someone needed to smack her.

Those football gods must be angry with every team, ever, since they have not allowed anyone to go 19-0.

I don't care if we go 16-0 or not as long as Carolina loses 1 before the end of the season

Does this mean that Bob Ryan is a pagan?

My bad, you're right. Off mic, but he said someone needed to smack her.
He actually said it on air during the Channel 4 Sunday late night sports show.

I'm sure the Irish had some form on ancient pagan religion. Heck Bob might even recall some of it from his early youth.
I'm no expert in paganism but I don't think they worship(ed) individual "gods" per se like the Romans and Greeks.

Yeah, really don't know, but it might be a better topic to discuss than Bob Ryan :D
