Don't ever believe Ron can be all that nice, he will continue his vitriol until he no longer writes and will always play the "scorned ex" over something about a promise made to him about Drew Bledsoe.. or other such nonsense. Either that or he has found "Jeeezus"...

Nice article on Amanda Belichick, the HC of Holy Cross Women's Lacrosse.. what is interesting is that if you go to the website all three coaches of that sport are about 2-3 years out of college, guess they ascended that coaching ladder quickly.. good luck Holy Cross.. good luck Amanda and staff. Ron I do not trust you..

Borges: Amanda Belichick making own way as Holy Cross coach

That IS a nice article. I always love hearing about Amanda, she seems like a really nice person. If I were playing lacrosse and looking for a program to be a part of, I would be headed anywhere she was coaching. Yes, based on the name! How could you not want to be a part of a legendary coaching family in some way?

The media loves to rank on BB for so many things that we know as fans who follow him closely are ridiculous BS. But even they have to admit he has some pretty great kids. It can't be easy being someone so visible, who has to pour so much time into the NFL grind and raise a family. Look at Andy Reid. Sometimes you just simply can't do it all. But BB's kids seem to be doing a pretty good job navigating the world. And they seem to be following down the coaching path too, which is a real testament to BB's influence.

This is probably the first Borges article I've clicked in the past decade...and I'm glad I did. Wasted potential is a terrible thing, and Borges proved again how much he has wasted. This is a great article that pulls images from places most people would never go and presents insights that most writers would never find.

He got Bill to tell us that a book by Jack and Suzy Welch (former GE CEO and business superstar) on "real life" management practices, was more valuable that a dozen theoretical management books. Not only does that tell us something we'd never know about Bill, it makes me want to go out and buy the book.

I will probably go another decade before I click another article, and will immediately turn off any TV program that he is on, but I have to admit that the man can write, and it is a shame that that talent was wasted because his flawed character is so twisted by a petty nature and a meanness that turned his abilities into a self absorbed agenda that was frankly unreadable.

This article shows us what he COULD have been and makes me hate him even more

1. Anybody who's aware of the story behind Education of a Coach knows that the way to BB's good graces is to be interested in his family.

2. Borges has mellowed a bit, sincerely or otherwise, for whatever reason(s). His game report cards, for example, aren't as anti-BB as they used to be.

Interesting that she's going to take her husband's last name when she marries.

Despite having grown up in a world where that was the norm, I now have my doubts about the choice, for a practical reason -- too many marriages end early.
