Definitely a first ballot hall of famer. It's almost like saying Peyton Manning doesn't deserve to be a first ballot hall of famer. In no way is Farve a first ballot. Interception record anyone?
He belongs don't get me wrong, but first ballot? No way.
Don Coryell does NOT belong in the Hall of Fame.
Just to back this up a bit.
Coryell was a HC for 14 years and won 3 playoff games. How does that get you in the Hall of Fame?
His win % was .572 in the reg season and .333 in the postseason. He only made the playoffs 6 of 14 years.
His team finished 4th or 5th in its own division 6 times.
He should go into the Hall of Average

Law was never the same after the lisfranc injury in 2004. It's a shame because if he could have played at high level for just one or two more seasons he would have first ballot numbers.
Huh? They threw a lot so they called the team Air Coryell. What team uses his offense?
All Coryell ever did was get a few talented offensive players together and underachieve with them.
Fouts, Joyner, Winslow, Jefferson/Chandler, Muncie. Anyone could have put up points with those guys (and the best OL in the league) Coryell parlayed that into a career of 3 playoff wins.
Very true. He was a tremendous CB. Definitely a Hall of Famer just maybe not 1st ballot in voters eyes. To me, the SB wins which he was critical in plus overall ability he's a first to me.
I don't belive that Manning is a first ballot either. Dismal playoff record, and many lost games that are directly on his shoulders. Rules changes to get him his only Super Bowl. Definitely NOT a first ballot guy. Hall of Famer? Yes. That what most here can't comprehend. It's not that Favre and Manning aren't Hall of Famers. It's that they aren't first ballot guys, whom are the Montanas, Bradys etc.
Such a sad state that guys like this have to be lumped in with guys like Favre and Manning. I was a first ballot guy! I was too!
Dude, where is all the hate coming from? I don't get it.You should start your own "HoF" in your basement where your ridiculous standards can be applied, because that's the only place you'll ever see HoF voters agree with you. And by 'HoF voters' I mean the stuffed animals you will line up in your basement when you play fantasy HoF balloting and the most celebrated players in history aren't first ballot.
When the league makes rules because you're too good you know you were great. NBA completely re-wrote the rulebook because of Wilt's greatness.Fav-ruh is obvious. None of the others are... Pace IMHO is the closest.
And in comparing names, I'm surprised at how well Ty Law stacks up. 15 years or so in the league... a bunch of picks, an AFC championship game that forever altered the NFL rule book (for the worse, but still) and 3 rings... hey, you never know.

Other than Coryell and maybe Andersen I can't see a lot of no-brainer locks on this list. As much as a few of us will probably cringe... I think Dungy gets in soon...he did help revolutionize defense with the Tampa 2.
I'd love to see Law get in obviously.

The Tampa 2 is Monte Kiffin's creation from 20-30 years prior
The Tampa 2 is from the 1970s.
Brady and Montana are better qb's but Favre and Manning are definitely first ballot guys.
