Ray Lewis: I'd take Rex Ryan all day over Bill Belichick

Ray chooses Rex. Works out, because Bill would choose Ed Reed.

Nothing like (lack of ) full disclosure by ESPN. Integrity!

Ray Lewis must enjoy watching the playoffs on TV.

Rex Ryan has never won a divisional championship, has a losing record as a head coach, and missed the playoffs for four consecutive years.

Ray Ray has a foot fetish, too.

I get what you're saying, but let's remember that Steve Young spent his career throwing to Jerry Rice and T.O. The receiving talent Newton's working with right now would make the '13 Pats look like the '07 Pats.

I know how good Rice was and I don't think stickum was an exceptionally huge part of his success, but I just couldn't help myself.:)

The guy played for Ryan. He's picking his guy. It's not a ridiculous pick in that context. What's ridiculous is people *****ing about it.
In his chat today, Bruschi said exactly the same thing:

"Ray is just being loyal to a coach he has a relationship with, and Rex is his former defensive coordinator. Sometimes working at ESPN, you have to deal with difficult questions. Believe me, I know. In that situation last night, he almost had to answer Rex Ryan. You don't do that to your former coach."

So now Patriots fans are taking offense to Ray Lewis addressing Buffalo before Monday's game? Seriously? This just gets dumber and dumber.

Here's a little nugget: Pagano had Ray Lewis address the Colts before they played the Broncos in the playoffs. Denver didn't lose its mind.

(That's because Denver's season was over by time their fans found out so no one cared and, more importantly 2) Ray Lewis wasn't working the game coverage for the network telecasting the game that day. Seriously, Albert, your high school wants it's diploma back - - and Ohio State lost on Saturday!)
Now, do I care that much about this particular story? No. Lewis is a chucklehead and the Bills lost and the Patriots could care less also. But there is a saying "Don't piss on my head and tell me that it's raining". When ESPN trots out a guy on their gameday coverage to give his expert opinion to betetr inform the viewer what he thinks about a game, ANY JOURNALISM TEACHER ON EARTH would ssay that it would be standard to at least openly disclose that you gave one of those teams a pep talk the night before. Why wouldn't he even mention it?

Breer, who CLAIMS to be a journalist, should at least understand this Journalism 101 situation. But he's not a real journalist.....in the Ray Lewis mode

Not sure why there are so many ray lewis threads on this forum (respect to OP) but since it is here, it's hilarious to watch the other commentators faces when ray attempts to speak, they have a panic look like waiting for him to say something really out there. I would pay to see a battle of the fools debate between lewis and sharpe, priceless.

I mean....Rex coached Ray. Not surprised here. He is being loyal not objective.

Nobody is taking offense to this at all. Patriots fans are merely laughing at the whole situation.

I don't even follow him on twitter, but I recognize that pudgy face often making patronizing remarks towards Pats fans, all so he can feel better about himself.

Albert Breer is a ****.

I could honestly give 2 poops if Ray addresed the Bills or not, that's not my issue. My issue is with him going out of his way to always NOT compliment TB, BB or anything Patriots.

From saying the only reason people know Brady is cuz of the tuck rule, to last years SB pre game show, saying something along the lines of hed rather play against Brady than Russell Wilson (that even got a Dilfer look like WTF, similar to Steve Youngs look mknday night) to saying hed pick Cam over Brady for the MVP, and now that.

I just dont get his resentment towards the Pats. His Ravens teams were 2-1 vs the Pats in the playoffs in Foxboro, hes one of the few thats had some success over the Pats, and he personally won 2 SB's. Not to mention, the team building fundamentals of his beloved Ravens are eerily similar to the Pats (BB/Newsome)

I expect that from an overrated, no good, pile of crap like Bart Scott, but not from Lewis, who sucks as an a analyst and life, but was a great football player.

I take what Ray Lewis says with a grain of salt.

He seems like the kind of guy that believes he's a great man....even a leader.

The reality is that he's a piece of ****/scum that walks with murderers and criminals. He should not be allowed on television, never mind the NFL network. Even among the worst of the NFL, he's the worst. He talks of God only to make himself look like a better man....everything he does appears to be made for TV.

If I had the chance to shake his hand, I'd look him in the eye and walk away.

Ray Lewis killed a guy.

This has been proven as fact....but Goodell convinced the judge to hold back the evidence.

Slander isn't good enough for Lewis...we should all just make up lies about him and continue to post them until he hears about it!!!

Why not? :D

Im sure RayRay would rather have Ryan over Bellichick as a coach, if BB was his coach in 99/00 during the murder investigations ray would have been sent home, told to keep away from the team and probably out of football

Because he will kill you
