Please tell me you are being sarcastic with this..

Quick summary DB:

Poster says (paraphrasing): how come the Patriots always draft fragile players

My response (paraphrasing): It's not just that, it's that damn training staff too.

My response could only mean (a) I was being sarcastic. or (b) I recently suffered a violent blow to the head.

hint: I currently have no bandages on my head though I am feeling a bit light headed this evening and probably tomorrow evening too :):)).

High ankle sprain..so hopefully only a few weeks....might as well have public try outs for WR

I hear Mark Walberg is a available. :)

Title confused me, I figured he went to IR.

With 6 games remaining if he needs to sit 3/4 weeks you gotta wonder if you keep him in the roster or IR and free up the roster spot for another player, but who? With 10-0 even though he's no Edelman I think its wise to keep him in the roster even with his little contribution so far, you just need one key play in the playoffs to justify this decision.

have we used up our IR to return designation? and if so who?

All due respect but at this moment we have no earthy idea if Rand is ready for NFL action.

No idea how close Randy would be to game fitness, but he spent the summer training with Mike Evans and Antonio Brown. I can't imagine Randy was sitting there holding a stop watch for them..

I'd bet that Moss could contribute on some level still, although to what level that is would be up for a huge debate. He can't burn people downfield like in the old days, and hasn't been able to for awhile, but I'd have to imagine that he could be something of a LaFell/possession WR hybrid if Brady had enough time to find him, and if he were willing to go over the middle.

Unfortunately, what we need at the moment is someone who can get open in under 2 seconds with the short, timing routes, and I don't think he fits that category very well.

The past 2 weeks he's caught the only 2 catchable balls thrown to him....and the last one was a GREAT catch.

I recall a time when posters here were telling the Pats to cut bait on the "glass" Edelmans and Amendolas of the team. And for a good 2 months last year, the denizens were calling #19 "LaFail".

Nooo "lafail" was what Panthers fans called him.

1st 3 years comparison:

Edelman: Rec-48 yds - 479 TD - 1
Dobson; Rec - 53 Yds - 698 TD - 4 (Including Dr. Gill's screw ups)

Gotta love the kneejerks.

Dobson investment in comparison to Edlemans.

Dobson : 2nd round pick 59. Value on the NFL Draft trade chart. 310

Edleman : 7 round pick 232. Value on the NFL Draft trade chart. .08. Actually it only goes to pick 224.

So considering Edelman cost the team .0248% of the cost of Dobson, yet put up 2/3 of the production, makes Edleman 1000 times more worthy of a player who deserved to remain on the team.

Lets not forget, players that got drafted behind Dudson.

Keenan Allen - Rec - 215 Yds - 2,554 -16 TDS. (missed 3 games last season, and hasn't played the past 3 weeks)

Terrence Williams : Rec 110 - 1,809 yds - 16 TDS (didn't start his rookie season and still had 6 TD's, Also missed a few games last season)

So yeahhhh, what were you saying about the Kneejerks being unwarranted???

Players are not stock options.

You can be mad about Dobson being drafted if you can link to a post from draft day saying you're pissed he was picked rather than Allen or Williams. Otherwise, you're just piling on.

I wasn't a member on this fourm in 2013. However, I can swear I was so angry when they took Dobson over Allen. He was such a better fit as a player coming out of college.
