I can't find anything about Willis having served in any KR/PR capacity during his college years, but I didn't look very hard.

Willis was waived/injured by the Bills and given an injury settlement during the 1st week of the season. Willis' injury was a concussion he suffered against the Steelers on a punt return..

Sometimes I'm amazed at the combine stats some players have that do not make onto a roster in the NFL.

or perhaps mike williams? formally of the bills/bucs? had a few decent years but has off the field issues.
only 28 years old

Just get along guys we are rooting for the same team. I say try everyone out and if they have anything contribute then keep them, if not, release. That's what the practice squad is for. That said, I have no idea who these guys trying out are. One of the coaches might know something.

Can you guys just flop your wangs onto the table so we can measure and get this over with? lol

Great job providing some info on these guys, much appreciated. Willis is definitely a Patriot kind of player. Seems like a combination of Woodhead and Edelman. Great speed, hard working, pretty strong with 21 bench presses. Love the vertical too. There are some videos on YouTube including a very long return. I'd like to see the Pats sign him and Talley. Decent size and great vertical jump. Plus those Umass receivers turn out pretty ok.

And what facts? This is an opinion message board. I gave mine and you went on to spew nonsense on how you think Chris Matthews is more likely to stay on the Raven's practice squad....

It seems that you stated you opinion with regard to our best choices at WR. Someone disagreed. You then went apoplectic. For some, there possibly could be better choice than the choices you gave.

Again, my opinion. You don't have to like it, but respect it and move on.

Don't get childish with likes and dislikes and try and tell me how I should think and how plassible or implausible my choices are, especially when the one disagreeing has more holes in their logic themselves than Swiss cheese. Bit hypocritical, I'd say.

And just as I say all that QuantumMechanic goes and does the same childish thing....

Unless someone has experience in our system and can play the slot. We are going with "The next man up" philosophy. These guys I would think are to fill our practice squad so we can field a scout team.

Now back to trying to figure out how to stuff the Duck up that Turkey's ass!
Happy Thanksgiving All

There are a ton of draftees & free agents that spend an entire camp w the team & can't grasp the system

Collie was signed on 10/3/13 & ten days later had 2-24 vs NO - huge catches on the gw drive...

Haven't read the entire thread but would love to get a way to get Collie in

It's going to be difficult for anyone with no Pats experience to crack the playbook with 6 games left in the regular season. It would be nice to bring someone in who has experience in our system, is very football intelligent and could catch 2/3 balls per game.

On the one hand, I hate when threads devolve into big negative sh*t shows between 2 people like this.

Can you guys just flop your wangs onto the table so we can measure and get this over with? lol
I've had mine out on the petri dish but nobody has said anything about it. Getting awkward.

On the other hand, the reactions like these from other posters is what makes me love PatsFans. Gold as always, gentlemen.

You want your opinion respected, but you become the petulant child and throw a temper tantrum when someone disagrees with you.

The only person with holes in their logic is you.

You're the hypocrite. Have been the entire thread.

Quantum Mechanic has more football knowledge in his pinky than you've shown ever..No wonder you think he's a hypocrite..

Enough - let's get this thread back on track. And regarding the excessive use of the "dislike" and "disagree", I've had to go on on numerous occasions and reverse them due to people abusing the rating systems. Please avoid doing that, otherwise if I have to take the time to go in and reverse them (which is a pain), I'll also remove the ability for the individual at fault to use them.

If we did add a player I would imagine right off they would have a limited playset for them to use till they grasp the whole thing.

RE: Austin Collie - I know I wasn't the only one who mentioned him and I've edited one of my previous posts about him. He is NOT eligible to be signed by the Patriots for two reasons. The first is that in the last CFL CBA that was signed in 2010, the "NFL Option" was eliminated. The second is that (in retaliation?) the NFL put in Article 20, Sec 1: CFL Rule as part of the CBA signed in 2011.

This rule states: No Club may sign any player who in the same year has been under contract to a Canadian Football League (“CFL”) club at the end of that CFL club’s season (regular season or postseason, whichever is applicable).

So, even if Collie's season was done, he couldn't sign with the Patriots this year.
