Also, 3 games and not a single AFC team in there? Kills me that Thanksgiving is supposed to be this terrific football day, and it almost always sucks. This year:

Eagles @ Lions
Panthers @ Cowboys
Bears @ Packers

I mean, man. The league basically got lucky with the Panthers, so that's sort of interesting. But beyond that, jeez. Couldn't we at least put this Detroit game tradition out of its misery? Let's start a rumor that the Lions and Bears playing every year is racist or something. Ugh.

Agreed, Detroit teams stink.

I have no problem with Detroit and Dallas always hosting a game on Thanksgiving.

Also, two of the three games are definitely good ones: (1) Panthers trying to stay undefeated on the road against a Cowboys team with Romo fighting to stay alive in a mediocre division; and (2) a great divisional rivalry (sure the Bears are down right now) on a night where they are retiring Favre's number. You can't expect every game to be "the game of the week." This is a solid slate. Although I do agree that I wish there were one or two AFC teams involved.

Wouldn't say the Bears are down right now. They've one 2 of their last 3 games with their only loss being a 2 point loss against one of the best teams in the league, also they didn't have Alshon Jeffrey for that game either. Hell, 2 games ago they put 37 up on a top 5 defense in the league.

I wouldn't be all that surprised if they made a wild card spot.

Last time the Lions were favored on a holiday...

Wherever Rex Ryan is let them play on turkey day ...

Gobble-gooble like a turkey nobodys paying him any attention ... he's the biggest turkey of all.

I was disappointed when I first saw what the thanksgiving games were. That was when romo was still out tho. Now that he's back that carolina game SHOULD be a good game. The other two are meh but hey, football on thanksgiving. Hard to complain too much.

You're being far too reasonable. This is the worst thing that's ever happened to me.

(OK, I'm joking. But I still think the Lions should go away on Thanksgiving.)

Lions and Cowboys bought the rights so I don't think it's fair to take that from them. They should throw in an earlier game because **** it. I'd watch four games.

Panthers @ Cowboys will be a fun game unless it's a blow out.

-Hardy wants to do some domestic violence on his former team.
-The Cowboys are basically us in the future (we're currently in our Landry phase)
-It's the only other undefeated team in the league so it'd be nice to see them get a notch in the loss column because with our injuries going undefeated is not looking as promising as before so it'd be nice to, at the very least, be the last undefeated team to get a regular season L.

If Carolina goes undefeated and the Pats end up losing a game or two, it would be pretty cool for the Pats to beat the Panthers in the SB.

Sucky Lions teams are tradition. It is what it is.

I'm looking fwd to CAR Dallas
I think Dallas wins tomorrow. 28-24

Lions and Bears playing is not only cruelty to animals....it's cruelty to fans......

During the Ndamukong Suh years (2010-2104) the Lions weren't terrible. Had winning records in 2011 and 2014.

Well, they've been playing on Thanksgiving since 1934. So… I guess it's good they were good in 2011. *cough* kill me *cough*
