We're onto Denver

Ehhhh, their defense is going up against tom brady. Ours is going up against a guy starting his second NFL game. Even with our injuries the defenses will be facing totally different challenges. If ours doesn't handle this kid that would be troubling. I fully expect them to.

We tend to have issues going up against QBs where there isn't a ton of tape so if he completes a lot of passes for short to medium gains I wouldn't consider it troubling, really.

Just looked at the standings. Patriots lead the NFL in least points allowed. Denver closely follows. Denver faced Aaron Rogers in Denver to begin the Packers 3 game losing streak. Think their opponents were not superior to the Patriots. How is each defense playing today compared to the beginning of the year? I like our chances.

If DA plays I like our chances, if he doesn't I think Denver wins. Unless we get some miracle performance out of lafell and Harper. I believe Denver will blanket gronk or we will need him in pass protection.

I sure hope I'm dead wrong.

To me it all depends on Amendolas availability what kind of game this will be.

It's gonna be a dogfight unless the ol has a massive turnaround. Blount has been stifled by Denver, not expecting much on the ground. And right now pass protection is an issue. Luckily, its a losable game as wed still have the lead.

If we win this, the undefeated talk is really going to pick up as the rest of our opponents are 5-5 or worse.

I think its important not to panic. We have the ultimate coach and QB who do "more with less" than any other team in the history of the NFL. Maybe we won't go undefeated but that's okay. The goal is to reach the playoffs with as many healthy bodies as we can and that goal is still in sight.

Need the DL to be healthy (Jamie, Sheard, Easley) for the game.

Tonight on CSN...shaughnessy - "This (patriots) is the worst 10-0 team in history"

And DeOssie's not buying that the pats have a championship caliber defense...

:confused::confused:

I just thought about it and realized that this past MNF game debacle as far as our O-line goes, was actually the best thing that could have happened to that squad prior to boarding the plane to Denver.

This was the first game in which we had our injured linemen come back from hiatus and the line was struggling to find its mojo as evident by their play. As such, film will be reviewed, conclusions will be drawn, key points will be implemented, the best line make up will be determined, and the overall play will be improved – all just in time for this pass rush we’ll be expecting from Denver’s D-line.

As far as I see it, MNF was kind of a dress-rehearsal and a sort of an experiment of a line up trial an error for this Sunday night’s game.

He's well enough to be at Gillette

Yeah, I just saw that his chair was unfolded and his bag was in the lockeroom, but he was not seen at the walk through. weird...

So Pats most likely going into Denver w gronkowski, chandler, LaFell, and Harper as non rb targets....surely Denver will do their best to eliminate 87 so who'll catch Bradys short/intermediate passes inside the #s? That's not lafells forte, Harper is a complete unknown...James white? Bolden? This is a game where chandler needs to show up big time

Amendola will likely be playing on Sunday.

I know this won't be popular and will probably get screamed at by the military wing of Patsfans, but it they were offered the option of just not showing up and taking an L, effectively trading a bye for a loss, I'd take it. I don't like Amendola, Collins, and the O Linemen traveling on a short week into the thin atmosphere and playing a very tough game. All I care about is a first round bye and health.

I don't see Collins or DA playing, I know they are at Gillette but that doesn't mean a thing and in a short week neither one does the walk through? If anyone, I see DA playing but I think it is a long shot.
