Could've sworn I just saw Jamie Collins peek his head into the locker room for a half second.

Although he's not at the walkthrough, he's definitely back.

Coleman out this week. I don't really care who plays, we have a loss to give, we need to get healthy starting the easier stretch run. I'd be very cautious with DA, don't want to turn a tweak into a month long sprain.

It is possible for a player not to be important enough to play because he won't decide the outcome single-handily but important enough to want to not play so he can eventually play when the games matter the most?

:D

Jamie Collins, Aaron Dobson, Matthew Slater among missing at Patriots walkthrough

Well I know some think this is a must win, as we'd only be 1 game up on Denver and they'd have HF, but we need to get healthy. Only Lewis and Solder are out for the year, among starters, we still have a really good shot if Collins, DA, Edelman all get back and are right. Even if we lose this we'd need to lose 2 more to not get a bye and would still have a good shot at #1. It's a chance I'd be happy to take.

Disagree. We now know he's over it and on his way back, whether it's this week or not.
Yes, this is the week I am focused on. The offense is going to be hard pressed to score 20 IMO and I am getting tired of seeing Freeny getting blown up each week.

Yep, saw that too.

Amendola plays Sunday as does Collins. I've said all along the knee thing was the team being uber cautious. The fact they took the helmet away means they worried he'd sneak back in. The MRI was precautionary to see if it was something that somehow needed more rest.

Awesome news!

Hopefully Amendola wears a brace on the knee to prevent more damage to it..

I'm assuming we lose barring several turnovers/ST plays, etc. I'm OK with that given the situation.

You always want to win when you can but IMO this is not a must-win game.

So Collins who couldn't keep a meal down for two weeks is going to show up 10 lbs under his playing weight and play 70 snaps in altitude?
You must be his personal trainer. Gymrat? Is that you?

Assuming we lose? Why? What makes Denver so great? Defense? Maybe. If I'm the Broncos I'm hoping to pull out a win because the Pats and BB are a lethal animal and sometimes a wounded animal is more dangerous.

Collins was probably excused from the walk-through to get as much time in the weight room.

Aaron Dobson is dealing with a high ankle sprain, according to a source. It's unclear how long he'll be out.

Kind of bad as it's usually a 4-6 week thing but could have been a lot worse.

....ummmm, is that a hospital gown?

Edelman is going to be back sooner than we expected. I just feel it.

Well, "must win" is always sort of a dopey phrase, really. "Must win" games are games where you get eliminated from contention or playoff games.

Having said that, it's certainly an important one. And look, it's one the Pats should win. Apart from Collins, the defense is healthy and playing well. Denver is playing a back up. I think we all expect the offensive line to play much better.

I think the Pats win, and it's an easier win than the Giants or Bills.
