Howe: Danny seems good to go vs. Denver

DeMarcus Ware shooting for Patriots game not good news for Cannon at LT, lets hope that experiment is over. Denver have the most ferocious DE tandem in the league. Those long developing pass plays have no chance.
Ware is an average player now as he is wearing down. He wore down this time last year as well.

Miller is the major concern.

Belichick and the team doctor. "Yeah, he'll be fine. Ready for Sunday, no problem."

He can shoot for the Pats game all he wants. Ware is in his usual worn down/injured 2nd half of the season phase like the previous 3 years

And didn't realize Derek Wolfe and Malik Jackson were the most "ferocious" DE tandem in the league.

I couldn't disagree more with this.

He did not have his arm across the guy's neck. Not at all.

I watched slow replays of this play on my DVR. The DE went low to gain the edge. Cannon hd a hand on his shirt (yes, holding him there but it was inside the shoulder pads where holding is allowed). His other hand was open and on the defenders back, as he pushed him to the ground. It was absolutely a good block. The Bills committed so many worse holds, just outright tackles that weren't called.

Someone posted the clip, I was going off of memory, you're right, it's not as bad as I remember it.

Jackson and Wolfe are playing very well. But on a personal note, I have met Derek several time, good guy, kinda a really good dude to hang out with.

Our o line can't play any worse then they did against the bills. They better show up on sunday. They need a good start to this game and a pass rush. I didn't see much of a pass rush against the bills.

I am waiting for lafell to have that breakout game.

If Cannon held on that play then Brown and Ninkovich were held on on McCoy's TD

Notice how McCoy is 3 yards behind the LOS and the holds on Brown and Ninkovich.

If you aren't going to call those two holds then you shouldn't be calling Cannon.

I saw kenbrell thompkins, josh Boyce, Aaron Dobson, bethel johnson, bam childress, etc show the same "stuff" as Harper in preseason...

Maybe I'm missing something but did harper get open a lot last night? Did he have a catch? Was he targeted much?

I didn't. All of them flashed the athleticism to make it in the pros and not a lot else IMO, which is both accurate (athleticism wasn't the limiting factor for any of them) and nearly the opposite of what Harper showed.

There are lots of other examples of guys who flashed good route-running, hands, and stuff like that but just weren't athletic enough to get open against NFL-quality coverage. Those guys are probably better realistic/negative comps for Harper than anyone you mentioned.

Players not spotted at walkthrough: LB Jamie Collins, WRs Aaron Dobson, Matthew Slater, Julian Edelman, CB Justin Coleman

Glad to see Amendola at walk through, was hoping Collins would be there too

Short week in that he gets a couple more days to rest up with the holiday thrown in there.

Do you actually think they are not practicing on Thanskgiving on a short week?
