Other than Coryell and maybe Andersen I can't see a lot of no-brainer locks on this list. As much as a few of us will probably cringe... I think Dungy gets in soon...he did help revolutionize defense with the Tampa 2.

I'd love to see Law get in obviously.

I'm amazed Warner still gets considered for these lists. The middle of his career is a complete wasteland....

When he played indoors with Holt, Bruce, Akeem, Proehl and Faulk and later Fitzgerald, Bolden, Breaston, Hightower and James he had amazing numbers. Put him outside with minimal talent and he sucked. One day I can see Bruce, Holt and Fitzgerald joining Faulk in the hall and Bolden probably won't get there but an argument can be made. Some of the others were top of the line for the years they played with Warner.

What is there about 5-6 each year to be inducted? My guesses..

1. Favre. He is an obvious choice.
2. Andersen. Great kicker in his day.
3. Craig. Good player.
4. Dungy. Gets credit for evolving defense scheme. I do not think he was a good coach but think he gets in.
5. Johnson. Had a great run in Dallas
6. Davis. He is the reason Elway has rings

In no way is Farve a first ballot. Interception record anyone?

He belongs don't get me wrong, but first ballot? No way.

Don Coryell does NOT belong in the Hall of Fame.

Just to back this up a bit.
Coryell was a HC for 14 years and won 3 playoff games. How does that get you in the Hall of Fame?
His win % was .572 in the reg season and .333 in the postseason. He only made the playoffs 6 of 14 years.
His team finished 4th or 5th in its own division 6 times.

He should go into the Hall of Average

I can see pace getting in this year
Possibly the best LT ever. Ironically another guy who could have been best LT ever but had his career cut short due to injury is on the list too, Tony Boselli.

Fav-ruh is obvious. None of the others are... Pace IMHO is the closest.

And in comparing names, I'm surprised at how well Ty Law stacks up. 15 years or so in the league... a bunch of picks, an AFC championship game that forever altered the NFL rule book (for the worse, but still) and 3 rings... hey, you never know.

Coryell has an offense named after him called Air Coryell. Patriots used Erhardt-Perkins. Others use the more popular West Coast. The Pistol - Read Option is another. If you have an offensive scheme named after you and still utilized to some extent, then that gets you consideration.

Please excuse the actual football fans for laughing at you.

Huh? They threw a lot so they called the team Air Coryell. What team uses his offense?
All Coryell ever did was get a few talented offensive players together and underachieve with them.
Fouts, Joyner, Winslow, Jefferson/Chandler, Muncie. Anyone could have put up points with those guys (and the best OL in the league) Coryell parlayed that into a career of 3 playoff wins.

I loved those Charger teams.

I take it you are one of those? So you're telling me that a guy who hurt his team as much as helped it is a first ballot guy? That has the one record the most likely won't be broken (INTs)is a first ballot guy? Give me a break.

Please excuse me from dismissing the "actual" football fans you are a part of and referenced. You and your "actual" fans' bar for first ballot QBs must extremely low, I'm laughing so much it's starting to hurt.

I didn't because it was the beginning of the shift from smashmouth football to finesse.
I liked em because they beat Miami in 81 and hated Oakland.

Roger Craig should have been in years ago.

I'm biased but I'll take Ty over everyone on that list.
