Howe: Danny seems good to go vs. Denver

DA is helped out by less time for his injury to heal?? Damn, DA must have been chomping at the bit to play the very next day after he tore his groin two years ago :)
Short week in that he gets a couple more days to rest up with the holiday thrown in there.

I wouldn't use DA in this game. With Edelman gone he's far more important down the stretch. Even if the Pats lose this game they'll still be a game up on both Cincy and Denver, who'll be playing each other later in the season.

It's time to give the running game and the backups to the backups some work.

I'm activating Harper in my FF. WATCH ME!:p

Great news about Amedola, for once this year, we get good news about an injury!!!

By ticky tack hold you mean a garbage Left Tackle TACKLING the DE? I don't think Brady needed the Hold to get the pass off, but lets not pretend that Canon didn't tackle his man with his arms wrapped around the guys neck (assuming I'm remember the correct play).
The call was weak. That "hold" happens 20 times a game and never gets called. Watch Chandler Jones. He gets "held" like that probably once a series without a call.

I couldn't disagree more with this.

He did not have his arm across the guy's neck. Not at all.

I watched slow replays of this play on my DVR. The DE went low to gain the edge. Cannon hd a hand on his shirt (yes, holding him there but it was inside the shoulder pads where holding is allowed). His other hand was open and on the defenders back, as he pushed him to the ground. It was absolutely a good block. The Bills committed so many worse holds, just outright tackles that weren't called.

Compared to the stuff the bills ol was getting away with that was a weak call.

Good thing turnstyle Cannon had a Hold there play had strip sack written all over it.

Most agree that we need Amendola in the Denver game. But, we also agree that if he is not ready, he should sit-out of the game so that he is 100% for the remaining games.

IMO

Maybe I missed it, but was there TE help on the OL? I am still 50:50 on Cannon being an effective lineman.

What about the run blocking this season has given you any hope that the running game can get it done against a good run defense?

DeMarcus Ware shooting for Patriots game not good news for Cannon at LT, lets hope that experiment is over. Denver have the most ferocious DE tandem in the league. Those long developing pass plays have no chance.

Probably put a TE (Chandler/Williams) on the edge to help?

Don't sleep on Harper. Made a great catch that got negated by a ticky tack hold (compared to what the Bills OL was getting away with) and then Brady made a throw to him in triple coverage. Better throw by Brady and Harper would have had them 1st and goal.

I'm not saying he is going to be an Edelman replacement but Brady looked for him in tight coverage twice. IMO it speaks a certain volume.

Not disagreeing with you, but just want to point out that Harper was tergeted 2 times: one a great catch negated by a holding call and the other an interception (totally NOT Harper's fault), and people think he's the second coming.

Dobson makes a great catch that counts, gets us a big first down and he "f#$#ing sucks."

I think we all just need to appreciate Amendola. During the run last year he was special, esp. in the playoffs and SB.

This year he is very reliable.

Very happy he is on our team and look forward to him returning to the field...we need all hands on deck...

any word on Dobson?

That's because these wizardly Draftniks think being small is helped by being slow too.

Just a side thought, can we put Vollmer at LT and Cannon at RT. I don't hate Cannon but he is no good at LT

I agree, but still give him help - that's Von Miller across from him on the right...
