Yeah, I've never seen Brady throw his team under the bus the way he did last night. He didn't pull a Peyton, but he was out of character for himself.
This game was a learning experience for every offensive lineman on the team.
Oh and we still found a way to win.
It was both. There were definitely a few times when Brady just got it wrong. And there there were times when he got it absolutely right and the line just got schooled. The line had far too many issues last night. They sucked collectively. I will say that I'd like to see Fleming at LT if they want to keep SeasBass on the right. Cannon is going to get Brady demolished. That's what I was thinking initially, because Rex likes to simulate bringing more pressures than he actually does, but on second thoughts, Brady was picking up most of them but the OL just was not up to the task. Bruschi speaks more about this in his "Bruschi on tap" for the week.
Pretty sure this is why Andrews was yanked for the first time this year- no knock on him but he was likely overwhelmed with all the protection changes at the line. It's one thing to call protections that you run through during practice, but to continually be audibled into something completely different almost every snap, probably resulted in a brain freeze. Again a guess here, but I'm sure something like this happened.
Combine an OL held together with spit and bailing wire, along with only two pure WR's, and that's going to make for a lot of frustration. I don't blame Brady for being salty.

True, but given that Kyle Williams missed the game and Dareus was hurt pretty early on, it wasn't nearly as strong a unit as it usually is. Still good, but not so good as to excuse the OL's performance last night.
Maybe I missed something but how exactly did he throw his OL under the bus?
That's more than Patricia got at the SB when he was asking Bill if he wanted to take the T.O.I've always felt that Cannon was purely a right side player, but every time I mention this to Belichick he just scoffs and grumbles at me.
Given how hot salty Brady was towards his OL, I think we can count on a very intense week of work for that group.
Didn't Vollmer play at LT, immediately after Solder was hurt, with some success before he was hurt himself?Ryan had 11 days to prepare and recognized that our O-line was a bunch of moving parts again - we're really at the point we were at around week 3 last year. O-line is all about recognition and communication, so I'm told and Rex took advantage of that yesterday.
It has to get better, and quickly.
I hate Cannon at LT - think Vollmer is much better there, and Cannon is better at RT. This coming week, though, that means Von Miller.
I expect Denver to do some serious press coverage against us and maybe have Ward coming hard at Brady a lot.

I am expecting Stork to get the start at center finally and Cannot to get nowhere near LT. Blocking has to improve from last week. The Bills were getting free plays due to breakdowns in the blocking scheme, whether that was due to the physical and mental error of the offensive linemen, or the misdiagnosis of the defensive front by Brady.
Hopefully the Patriots offense can clean up these errors as they head to face their toughest defensive opponent on the year.
Playing QB is dangerous. One of the hits on Brady, he was holding his head on the ground.. I really thought he got a concussion or something like that...
This very dangerous as the Broncos D come Sunday.
Monday Night was about as bad as it could have been. Cannon should take a seat and Flemming should start at LT with Vollmer playing his natural position where he is probably the best at it in the entire NFL. Don't weaken multiple positions. Flemming improved weekly at LT and was adequate.
