This is just too easy. Brady's foot work, of course.

I find it amusing, Pats fans mocking bills fans for complaining about the officiating yet.............. see above. Bills fans mocking pats fans for complaining about the officiating........ when the King gets the peasants to fight over the food supply, the king eats cheaper.

maybe instead of fighting each other, some genius gets together a fan cosortium and says mmmm no. we don't support this so fix it or find new fans.
Huh? Is your point the refs were good? What the heck does the King, peasants and food have to do with anything. Seriously, I get you tried for a metaphor, but it didn't fit.

Sometimes a fish IS REALLY a bicycle because the king orders the peasants to eat tires? :)

(Why am I engaging?)

3 possibilities, though I'm sure there are others:

1 - Rex is pointing at Brady and shouting that Brady has stepped out of bounds.

2 - Rex knows this official suffered a serious injury earlier this season when a player collided with him. Rex is pointing and yelling "Look out!"

For these two, I'm making the assumption that Rex is trying to distract the official into making a mistake, which is what happened. I have no explanation why the official didn't look at Brady (scenario 1) to see if he was OOB or why, if he was concerned about being hit (scenario 2), he didn't try to move out of the way.

The third possibility is that the official was surprised to see Rex in front of him, knowing that coaches shouldn't be on that part of the sideline during a play. Instead of throwing a penalty flag, he blew his whistle because the coach and players might collide.

cool, keep fighting among ourselves then, the profit margin is huge for fans, I mean all we do is pay for TV, pay for TV packages, pay for merchandise, and pay for attendance at games with all the over priced food and beverages......... we are the perceived costumer not the actual costumer. the actual costumer you see is the owners and the players, we are the peasants that pay for it all as benefactors of "entertainment".... but I mean that is our choice as is sitting around talking junk about each other getting screwed because of the entity that decides who makes then assigns the clowns who enforce rules, yup, thats the most logical thing to do. carry on.

pink text in many places represents sarcasm

I didn't know that.

We should come up with a more complete color code. That might be interesting.

Sarcasm
Envy
Jealousy
Anger
Sadness

Rex isn't taking heat because he is a loser, a member of the oppressed and in today's culture those can do no wrong.

I was actually thinking alomg the same line..maybe he meant to throw a flag for rex being in his way, but blew his whistle instead in error. Don't forget, this was his first game back after being run over in weak 1

IMO a mod should change the thread title to 'Why isn't rex licking feet?'

I thought it was funny that Rex was having a meltdown over the 15 yard penalty.

I like Rex ...he's funny :)

Who cares? we are done with rex for the year and are 10-0. I am personally worn about all perceived patriots slights. Forgotten to enjoy wins off late.

I might be exaggerating a little but I swear when I went to a few Bruins/Sabres games in the old Aud and the new place and wanted to have a few ****tails afterwards seemed like either places were closed or nobody was in there. Just strange. It was like martial law was imposed.

I haven't been in Buffalo since the Aud days (over 15 years ago) but one thing people in this town do is drink at bars. Closing time is 4 am. There are bars and restaurants all over the place.

I know. I was clearly going to the wrong places. I thought it was so strange. Didn't have Yelp back theno_O

I can't believe you pulled that one out here. Haven't heard that since my first graduate philosophy course at Hahvahd.

Today, the focus of the poor officiating was the 2 seconds that Buffalo should have had at the end of the game. The inadvertent whistle issue is being treated like it's been resolved.

I haven't seen anyone in the media asking what Rex Ryan was doing on the sideline, pointing and shouting to the official. Regardless of whether the officials handled the aftermath of that play correctly or not, there is no situation if Ryan doesn't involve himself. No Rex walking toward the official, pointing and saying something = The official never blows his whistle during the play.

No one from the league or media seems to think Ryan's behavior was curious enough to warrant an explanation or even further discussion. Apparently, like his knowledge of the Alosi wall, that's just going to be ignored and forgotten.

He was illegally in the white area of the field during the middle of a play partially blocking the refs view of what was going on. I'm convinced this led to the inadvertent whistle. I'm not hearing this at all from the media.

Well to be fair, I hear the media was really ready to go after him. Then someone showed them this pic and they just didn't have the heart to pile on the poor guy...
