ESPN originally tweeted this during last night's game:

Then when people complained about their complete insanity, they responded TODAY (one full day later almost) with this:

Keep living the dream ESPN. We are 10-0.

Damn...anyone have pics? Can't MyTwit here in the nether regions of the world...

Guys, we need to stop this! That explanation and the timeline makes sense. It is not backtracking, I did not believe in the spygate reference as it did not make sense. We are becoming laughable just like the ESPN we are calling out. If you go on every forum or comment section online, Pats fans turn ever topic and conversation about us. I know we have been through some painful **** but we are fighting too many straw men.

ESPN - GFY.

(and I'm not clarifying that). Nice of them to save me $30 or so, though, by forcing me to cancel ESPN Insider.

Dude come on normally I'm on this side of the argument but that's a pretty blatant troll job by ESPN and a ****ty excuse for trying to save face

I may not get it, but I am the least affected by trolls. I think I don't even see it for it to offend me in the first place. I may be insensitive in an age where people wake up and want to be offended by any or everything.

LOL @ the word "offended." You don't have to be a hypersensitive, easily "offended" fragile flower to call a spade a spade.

The original tweet went out at midnight. The clarification went out at 4:30 pm. No one thought to send out the clarification a little sooner, like this morning?

Also, this wasn't the first MNF game ESPN has aired that featured a lot of reviews and discussions by the officials. Did they ever use that combination of emojis or something similar before?

I find it odd that ESPN would mock something which extended their own programming and gave them the ability to show lots and lots and LOTS of commercials for their sponsors, and presumably rake in the money. Yeah, I'm sure they just hated it.

I am offended by by your post ;) My guess is I think you think we take this more seriously than we do. I have no problem pointing out every POS thing the NFL and ESPN does which is trolling and yes this is trolling and I will troll back. Layoffs at ESPN, chaos at the Ravens and Colts etc... put a smile on my face. Just need the worms at the NFL HQ to get a karma sandwich.

I love the smell of karma in the morning.

Wish we had the good karma of not having all our WRs and olinemen injured .

Someone here predicted they would do this at 3 AM. Close enough whoever you are ;)

Just because we're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get us.

Do you live on Mars?? :p

I get that, they are out to get us, but some of our fans are behaving like other NFL coaches who BB has real estate in the heads. I bet ESPN thinks they own mansions in our heads.
They can type "Open the Gates" on their tweeter page and some pats fans will find a way to see how that was trolling the pats.

ESPN has just been drinking their hateraid
