Agreed. They blew the whistle accidentally, and then created the best scenario to be fair.

Honestly, the refs overlooked some interference calls that other crews would have flagged, so I give them credit for that. Really, I've seen worse.

As to other game thoughts, this game really shows the value of complementary football. It's not just that the defense played well and limited the other team's points, it's that in doing so the Pats' lackluster offense got more chances to put something together.

That's obvious, I know, but so important. If the opposition were putting together 6-7 minute drives, a 3 and out from the Pats is suddenly catastrophic--what do they do now?! This way, it was, "OK, the defense will give you another shot in just a minute. Hold on."
