Any news?

They will need roster slots for WR/RB

That must suck for him. Busts his ass to get healthy and when he is healthy he can't play b/c of roster gyrations. Thats the business.....

I expect Fletcher to be activated and Martin waived.

I think down the line they'll need Seal again anyway.

Umm.. From what is being reported, Jones isn't healthy, which is why they are leaning towards IRing him..

BTW, you should be more specific about which Martin your talking about.. There are two on the team..

Yea this article made me think he was a little closer....

Jones ready to come off Pats' sideline

Martin the LB.

All I'll say is I'd rather have a fully healthy Jones in 2016 than a half-effective Jones in 2015.

Martin contributed on ST yesterday. Better move would be Dobson to IR if that sprain will keep him off the field for the next few weeks, IMHO.
If Dobson does go to IR then your proposal does make complete sense.

My recollection of Fletcher was that he was a very, very good ST player. I'm assuming he can come back and equal what Martin brings and add to the defense.

Yes.. Because we have such a plethora of receivers for this to happen..

For those who cannot read the tweets appended in that format:
Chris Jones and Dane Fletcher to PUP/IR for the season.

Numbers game for Chris Jones. I mean Siliga was a freaking healthy inactive last night. Not much you can do when Brown, Easley, Branch and Hicks are doing a great job and then you got Sheard seeing snaps inside in passing situations.

Sucks for Jones. He's a solid player. Never going to forget this play

Bummer for Fletch as he has worked hard to get back. For our die hard Masshole/Patriots contingent here in Montana it's been so great having Fletch on the team. His parents own a bar in Bozeman, MT so we all converge there game day!! Glad he wasn't released.... It keeps the ties together a while longer!
Go Pats!!
